I highly recommend this. It’s still a ongoing project, but they already finished WW1.

Btw, the WW1 series (called The Great War) is still ongoing. Now they are covering the aftermath in monthly, more in-depth episodes. Very interesting stuff.

Pure propaganda. Back then different time, any country would have dealt the same way by capital punishment of all involved. To complain about it just shows that these people never served, never experienced Kameradschaft.

Another good one with soviet perspective (might be little bit biased/focused on soviet accomplishments):
This series especially the Velikaya Voina version where there’s english subs on Star Media’s youtube channel. The interesting part is it does reveal parts that were not to be revealed during the Soviet era like Rzhev while some others were declassified since the collapse of the USSR. Even now there’s still stuff about WWII being declassified in recent years.
