While I understand it is the effective way to do things, my argument is that it isn’t the intuitive way to do things. I understand that ticket is just a abstraction timer and I really shouldn’t care about it but it feel bad and wrong to burn tickets. And the whole oh go into the menu and kill this dude just interupts the game, not even about talking about immersion here, why am I being rewarded for tactical suicide. Why is that a thing? I propose cap power increase for the player character.
while they are at it maybe like a ticket refund for pilots that land/para, maybe that even works for tanks and infantry, just give you half of your tickets back and let you pick a new squad if you run back.
maybe you don’t even have to run back to base, just have to retreat out of the grey zone for x seconds or something.
Speaking of, doesn’t it make more sense that you soldiers retreat in the greyzone instead of randomly dying? Just call it out of command area or AWOL or something
You can now come up with random tactics like rider into near grey zone build a rally and then retreat.
oh, but could you imagine if they were rewarded for it …
