I like each sniper to have a pistol - I have 5 snipers one in each of two squads so that makes 2 then 3 in my sniper squad Then I have about 3 dudes with the M1 Garand - Seems the ammo runs out quick for those guys so I give them an extra ammo pouch and I like for them to have a pistol so that makes 5 snipers and 3 M1 Garands so thats 8 pistols I do not like to spend random weapons cards for weapons I do not need just to hopefully get a pistol.
I doubt if a player had 15 pistols that would destroy the play balance … Perhaps there going for realism?
Ok, let’s go for Realism then … during Normandy which was June 6th and beyond the Germans did not have much of an air force at all the Allies ruled the skies so let’s get rid of 70% or more of the German planes since Realism is the reason.
Soooo is that a rant to bash the faction you don’t main hoping to have it nerfed, or a rant about the way pistols are distributed in game?

Just stop bothering about realism. It’s a game. I don’t want another WarThunder-like balance, where there is much realistic and few balance mechanics. Realism and balance is like science and religion.
If someone owns 100 pistols - so be it. Those can’t even oneshot you to head in 3 meters and that is a more preferred case to investigate.

We absolutely can, but pistols already are balanced in the way to obtain them (it’s exactly the same process for every and all factions), something the OP clearly failed to understand and made this post about…

Perhaps there (they are) going for realism? I just cannot fathom why we are unable to use a weapon order to get a pistol we can buy all other types of weapons but for some reason pistols are not allowed I can ONLY figure some one somewhere is concerned about realism … to me there is no other excuse not to have this capability - For anyone to think that I think it has to do with realism is mistaken or that realism is important to me is completely mistaken I am concerned with play balance and the ability for someone to be specific in how they set up their squads and players. If all factions could get pistols it would be exactly the same process for every and all factions which is obvious.
Look, Fun > Realism.
And pistols are useless in the game, it’s more like and accessory than a second gun.
You down an enemy whit one M1 Garand bullet, I open hoses whit one soldier whit one M1 Garand shooting from my hip.

Exactly so why not have the option to get a pistol then - lean towards pleasing the customer sort of thing - people like options even if they are worthless - we like choices. Even though its impossible - - try to please all of the people all of the time - in gaming it results in more people on the servers and more money … profits.
As a sniper I have found myself in woods unable to quickly and effectively get a shot off at the enemy in doing so it just gets me killed and gives my position away with the enemy jumping around and running all over the place with a pistol I can usually take out one or two of em before they get me … I guess if I had a pistol it would be unfair to the submachine gunners - who can easily take out my sniper then wipe out my squad before I can get another shot off - - guess I’m a moron with a sniper rifle guess I’m suppose to hang back be in a good sniping spot … ok great thought - then on many maps I would be in constant retreat.
Tap rmb and you look down sight like a normal Garand. Works for me better than a pistol. Each dude has a pistol in my roster. Hardly ever use them. Melee range the knife/axe is better and non melee range the Garand is better. Hip fire if they are too close, which is the way to go with normal Garand as well. If its mid range you can look down sight just like a regular rifle. Garand is 1 shot kill and pistol 3, vs smg you will lose with the pistol. The only pistol moment would be if you are out of ammo.
I think it is fine how it work now, you get some pistols if you play. Never seen the need for more than we already get

There are days I collect 60/70 bronze orders. I have 20 pistols gathering dust.

Had 5 shots left in my sniper rifle the last guy alive on my squad brought me some ammo earlier …
After this screen shot more bad guys showed up and nailed me never fired a shot … cause was doing the screen shot … but felt nice to be basically out of ammo and to have a pistol even though its futile.
My “ammo bearer” at this point has been eliminated maybe by one of these guys.
I was up in a Windmill with a sniper rifle bad guys were around guy ran up the stairs with a submachine guy I had a sniper rifle and a pistol - Its difficult for me to use a sniper rifle at close range … Glad I had a pistol
