Imagine a small winter event where the only available weapons are snow-themed variants:
The map is a Moscow one with thick snow on the ground (like fortified district);
Fixed squads preset, except no ordinary guns available;
Default weapon is basic snowball - reskinned impact grenade with little to no AOE so it requires a direct hit, each soldier is given a fixed amount;
Heavier weapons, throwing larger snowballs with wider AOE, are reskinned versions of weapons that already throw slow projectiles with a noticeable arc and long reload, such as:
RMN-50
PIAT
Panzerfaust 30
Mortars
Engineers can build ampulomets that throw snow bombs. Also, sandbag walls could be reskinned as either snow barriers, or igloo-style ice blocks walls;
Soldiers can replenish ammo at huge snow piles, that are in fact disguised ammo crates / paratroopers supply boxes;
Optional:
-
If technically possible, soldiers could maybe be able to resupply by digging in the snow with a shovel (1 snowball at a time);
-
Blood/gore is turned off;
-
Vehicles had better not be available, for balance and “immersion” purposes.
-
Some minor participation reward (maybe a wall poster?)
-
Melee damage should probably be disabled, to prevent some guy with a shovel from slashing through enemy squads, thus defeating the point of the event.
