I just wonder if this game will be closed down when WTs infantry mode will start… the tanks and planes seem to be from WT for here & that seem to be the main game too.
Will they merge or stop developement for this one when they get the new out ?

From what I hear, the WT infantry stuff is all modern, so I doesn’t affect Enlisted’s WWII scope.
And the devs have made it pretty clear that Enlisted isn’t on their radar for closure. Our favourite game will live on.

Oh okay so it wont be merged into WT. Personnaly i wouldnt mind getting it merged WT has a way larger and more interesting lineup of tanks what would be fun to try, i wouldnt mind trying out a Wirbelwind or M42 whent those pesky pilots keep bombing me.
This is, of course, nothing more than my personal speculation, but to state my conclusion upfront: in my view, War Thunder infantry will not replace Enlisted; Enlisted will continue to exist, but the amount of development resources allocated to it will be drastically reduced.
Based on recent trends surrounding Enlisted and War Thunder infantry, I have arrived at this opinion. I have discussed these trends in my previous posts. Summarizing them, the situation appears to be as follows:
- Since 2024, Enlisted has clearly seen a reduction in development resources, along with a decline in operational capability.
- It is likely that these reduced resources have been redirected to War Thunder infantry.
- War Thunder infantry covers conflicts from the Korean War (1950) to modern warfare (2020).
- It features innovative systems not present in Enlisted (such as advanced AI squad command mechanics and attack helicopters).
While War Thunder infantry does resemble Enlisted in that it uses a squad-based system, it still adopts several different mechanics—such as limiting respawns based on spawn points. More importantly, it focuses on the Korean War through modern conflicts, meaning it does not directly compete with Enlisted, which is set in World War II. If Gaijin had decided to “replace Enlisted with War Thunder infantry,” then World War II would almost certainly be included in War Thunder infantry’s scope. The fact that it deliberately avoids World War II and instead begins with the Korean War serves as evidence that Enlisted is intended to continue existing.
However, the scale of Enlisted’s development will likely be reduced to almost nothing, with only minimal attention being paid to it. In fact, since 2024, Enlisted’s service quality has declined significantly. It is likely that the majority of Enlisted’s developers have been transferred to War Thunder infantry. Considering that both War Thunder and Enlisted are managed by Gaijin, and that War Thunder is a platform with tens or even hundreds of times greater name recognition and profitability than Enlisted, reallocating Enlisted’s resources to War Thunder infantry is a rational decision.
In other words, Enlisted will continue to exist, but the enthusiastic development it once enjoyed—such as the frequent release of new maps and major new features—will likely never return. The personnel required for such development have largely been reassigned to War Thunder infantry. Unless Gaijin reverses its decision to prioritize the development of War Thunder infantry, Enlisted will do little more than continue releasing vehicles copied from War Thunder along with a handful of weapons, and truly innovative changes will no longer occur.
That said, this is still only my personal opinion. It is possible that this prediction is fundamentally wrong and that Enlisted has a bright future ahead. However, this is the assessment of someone who has played Enlisted continuously for over two years, investing a significant amount of time and money, and experiencing all of its developments in real time. I apologize if this sounds like bragging, but this perspective may lend a certain degree of credibility to my prediction. In any case, I can only hope that my prediction is wrong and that Enlisted does, in fact, have a bright future.

From what I keep hearing, it’s “Korea and forward”, Korea used majority late WW2 gear… Stuff already in, or that are going to be added eventualy to Enlisted…
Sounds to me like it’ll tread on quite a lot of toes…

As far as I can recall, CM have made many such statements, but the developers themselves have never officially announced it as news.

Many people think Enlisted will shut down because of WT infantry. But I see that far from happening. The problem is that they will most probably keep doing the absolute bare minimum to keep the game afloat. No big effort or huge improvement, or any sort of radical change, just the occasional update.
A big part of me hopes they could use whatever it is they learn from a game designer’s perspective while working in WT Infantry would be incorporated into Enlisted. Buy I think it was actually the other way around. Enlisted served as a test platform for WT Infantry. Time will tell, but again I don’t think they will merge both games.
Well, if WT infantry is modern, then I might play on some occasions, but will still play 90% of my online gaming here. I got bored with WT a couple years ago, so I haven’t actually even played a game in almost two years. Active Matter? I bought several months ago and it bores the shit out of me, so I have only played it three times. If I could return it and get my $29 back, I would. 
So, IMOP, Enlisted is still Gaijin’s best game.

That’s ridiculous! So you’re supposed to stand on a tank and blast infantry, and let planes leave you alone. You’re a natural-born tanker! It’s good that there are planes and anti-tank weapons against people like you.
The infantry there is modern, there is plenty of this kind of stuff in other games, but Inlisted is something different, something that you won’t find anywhere else, and that’s why we love it.

The devs did say that WT will go down to korean war era which is awfully close to the late WW2 weaponry so if they wanted to they could just copy WW2 and claim it to be korean war instead.
So the only thing promised 100% to be unique would be early war stuff and maybe germany if they cant manage to manufacture an excuse as to why they need WW2 stuff instead of post war land lease.
Edit: So my guess would be that once that korean war era is reached and WT infantry has been polished enlisted is likely to die.
Doesnt have to be DF that is pulling the plug on the servers but more likely the playerbase deserting until even core playerbase with sunken cost cant justify staying them there anymore.

Few notes from their preview stream:
- WT infantry is for now Korea war and after
- arcade mode features infantry squads, realistic mode only sole soldiers (standard battlefield style)
- aka arcade features all nations against all nations (when they get more kit), and so you (US) and ur JP ally will fight against Sweden and Italy and whoever in random matches, aka NEGATIVE historical immersion (which is a big problem with War Thunder in general)
- Enlisted and WT Inf will likely share code bases, might FINALLY improve enlisted AI
Overall im not impressed by WT inf currently. Enlisted has its problems, but outside of good technical details the play modes and lack of squad features above basic arcade mish mash looks kinda shitty tbh

They said that but in the gameplay even the realistic matches had squads present. So idk if they misspoke or if that is just WIP still.
Cant wait for warthunder to go WW 2.

They lied about trasparentcy thats for sure. Im with 99% of the player base and think devs want enliated to fail. I think they are tired of this game.
