I’ve seen people use tanks like T-26 and Pz II in BR4 battles more than once. Why? I don’t think these tanks have any obvious advantages.

These are bots mate, they’re there to fill the slots players left when they desert or if there are not enough players to fill a team.
Don’t feel bad. The game intentionally hides the fact that they’re bots by giving them fake usernames instead of just saying bot.

I guess some low BR player got in event, dropped from case or bought high BR weapon, vehicle or whole squad and dont know better. Or he is bored by this game to death. Likem me. I have literally have full British template for BR5. Special order cruseder and lanchester smg incuded. Along side some other special order british weapons and basic br3 alike. I basicly made another faction in game for myself.
It could be players who unlocked all the weapons first but don’t have other tanks yet, or perhaps just bots; I used my Ho-I even at BR 5, and gradually unlocked the other tanks of which only the Chi-Nu II and the Chi-To Late are relatively useful.

Sometimes if you are organizing squads and soldiers you can end up with a low BR unit or a high BR Unit. He might have been BR 1 and armed up a BR 5 squad getting defaulted to 5.

I play at the BR 3 level, where I occasionally use the Panzer II. I leverage its mobility and small profile to strike the flanks of enemy infantry.
