maybe its just the maps im playing on but the trench system is way way worse. the amount of terrain it removes is random, the geometry of the dug ground is jagged and random, and the trenches themselves are way shallower and take way more time to dig. i really don’t know why they would nerf it this much as it didn’t seem overpowered before and I hardly ever saw anyone using it. (now that I think about it I think I’m the only person I’ve ever seen dig big complex trench systems.) they hardly ever worked well but they could be really useful in getting across big open areas where the team continually gets mowed down. i guess I just don’t understand why they did this
It always was jagged and random, hence Im never using it
Big action mod has no problems and public matches are rubbish
It depends on map, obviously it is hard to dig something in Moscow since the ground is frozen and so.
I remember when they dug holes so deep you couldn’t get out, go to walk out a door and fall in the pit, ![]()
Whilst I would agree in reality this situation about frozen soils is correct, I highly doubt that much effort has been put into the system, differentiating betwixt environments.
They said that it’s now possible to dig enough to put a rally there but it was a such a bullshit you still can’t do that unless you ask a plane to drop a bomb at your location ![]()
This ground digging system is working like that for years.
Merge haven’t change a thing about it.
You can ask any helper here and he will confirm that I am right and this system is truly a thing.
And it is definitely not a bug.
last time I dug a hole and tried building a rally point inside I was never able to do so as “the ground was not flat enough blah blah” ![]()
This worked much better before the downgrade/fix/revamp/whatever.
