Why not interpret early quit as an skill issue?

I noticed this point in ranking where there is two ways to loose one point: either defeat OR early exit

But why not to think about early leave as an skill issue and punish for it with an additional point removal?

Because even if you faced your team full of bots/noobs (bonus if you also -1 BR to your enemy entire team  ) you still can be useful and receive enough points (personally I prefer to build rallys close to the point and sit in AA turret deep in our rear).
And people those prefer to leave, instead of showing how good they are, basically showing no skill at all…

So my question is: should we replace this “or” from the screenshot with “and”?

Couldn’t care less. I desert most of my games for my own enjoyment… a number going higher doesn’t influence that one bit.

I’m still insta-leaving stalingrad tractor plant conquest

Well I do instant leave any large conquest, because the game mode feels more like playing a firefighter with running from point to point to “extinguish the fires”.

And secondly, if I am at a certain point of exhaustion, I am nowadays willing to early leave matches with Consoles stacked on my team. My honour aside, like Lookin4n8Bal-live said, I also play the game for my own enjoyment.

Showing skill is nice, when it’s not done to the breaking point, which this game’s matchmaking system is prone to doing. Yet there’s clearly no compensation for trying to carry these kinds of games with an anchor for a team. And the garbage on your team even has the gall to leave the match, regardless of how much your back is already breaking, so I’ll gladly do the same.

It’s not that bad of a map for conquest, I like the B point environment inside the factory with plenty of cover, though the A and C locations are meh. C is a bs though, completely in the open and right in the line of sight from enemy armour spawn, which like, hello map designer, any brain in that large nut of a head?

I understand conquests are usually positioned into a triangle shape made from CPs, but that C point makes that map so unfavoured to whichever faction is forced to play from that side of the map.

why dislike conquest? confrontation is the real pain. conquest is fair: there’s less room for vehicle abuse in conquest, more tactical consideration for both teams. Defenders in invasion mode don’t need to consider spawn points, and confrontation favors the team that kills more and builds rallies faster (which is inevitably the side which falls back).

I rarely desert a game because I am losing. When I desert a game “intentionally”, it’s because Gaijin dropped me into a match where I either despise the map, or despise the game mode. Usually it is because Gaijin dropped me into “Assault”, which is the one mode I gave thumbs down on “EVERY” one of my “SO CALLED” choices. I refuse to play it, period. So, when I see it, I am gone.

I also hate the Tractor plant, and sometimes will desert the moment I see it, but I will usually just bite the bullet and play, even though I hate that map, unless of course it is assault at the Tractor plant, then it is an instant no thought desertion. :joy:

These are some of the reasons I have kind of chosen to play the majority of my games now in custom matches. I no longer have to face Assault, and never have to play maps I HATE! :innocent: And… I can quit the game anytime I need to without any penalty. I’m just playing for fun, so I don’t really care if it’s against people or bots, there are pro’s and con’s to both.

Deserters reaching a high rank does not make any sense, so YES to the suggestion.
Deserters need more punishment.
To the deserters “I dont like this map so I’ll desert and ruin the battle for everybody who stays”: go play a single player game

or devs could just add an actual map preference system and players wouldn’t have a reason to desert :upside_down_face:

Would you prefer people sticking around and not playing their best or just walking around doing nothing to force a quick lose?

Or perhaps throw molotovs and use flamethrowers on their allies or build barbed wired rallies in spots that cuck the AI?

I can understand hurting the deserters that leave 5 out of 10 games. but sounds more like you’re pissed about the 1 in a 20 games type of guys that actually win the games, because I rarely run into Marshals that outright leave matches. Not the garbage that barely has an impact and them being replaced by AI makes no difference.

I wonder how ppl would enjoy a reversed system where top3 players that carrys the team decides does the anchors get any XP for the game they played or not.

Im expected to waste my time on carrying noobs -/- they can do what ever the fk they want

Since this punishing seems to be the way of the game, perhaps eventually ppl learns to play after wasting couple of games withou exp / silver :person_shrugging:
