There has not even been a test server yet, so I think maybe 1 or 2 weeks more to wait for the update.

no BR and balance changes announced yet either
its been 11 days since sabouter announcement so the update could come this week, at least in theory but next week is more realistic.

Not that long if you compare to previous major updates.
Major updates come every ± 3 months or so.
The previous one was just before christmas, so the next one should be around near the end of this month, or 1-2 weeks from now.

The first post about “Far-eastern Front” update was posted on dec. 4 and the major update was released on dec. 16
Not really the first post contain the information of that update is actually this which is on 26 November 2025.
Also if you look at the update before it.
Scorching ray is from 22 August 2025 to 23 September 2025.
Do they still do such announcement?
I think they simply include it in the major update changelog instead of independent announcement.
Nope, sitrep is more of a roadmap in the sense that it presents planned changes and things devs are working on , though its true that many of the things presented were added with the next major update, there are things that are still waiting to be added.
The first actual announcement of the major update is the Weapons and vehicles of the “Far Eastern Front” update
