The new m1919 browning Is kinda boring and if not changed (buffed or downtired), it will be dead on arrival:
This is why I would have preferred the m1917 instead:
•Firstly the m1917 is heavier so any prone restrictions would make more sense
•We already have a m1919 in the tech tree, the m1917 would actually be different
•it could be used in any ww1 mods or potential gameplay events
•since it’s water cooled it’d be the first water cooled gun in the small arms category and could have had a unique sound of water swishing whilst running
Would you have preferred the m1917

i mean yea it look is more unique so that would have made more sense.
Why not add both actually?

there is also a Maxim machine gun (a stationary construction by Soviet engineers)
Because they’d play too similar and it would just be bloat, the m1917 would probably be better as a event now.
That’s why I specified that it’d be the first small arm (gun that infantry can carry)

Actually a cool idea - super heavy water cooled MGs would fit this " no shooting unless prone" mechanic.
But this M1919 doesn’t seem fitting.
IF this would be added in a smart way, you could have belt fed MG even in BR2 without them being OP.
Ha, imagine a M2 Browning with this mechanic in BR5 haha

I’d vote for us to have both.
If only that option were available.

I think you might need power armour training to be able to shoot your m2 browning from the hip:
I suppose those of us who don’t have a set of power armour will have to make do:

Wait, so is this new MG getting the ability to hip fire? I thought you cant shoot at all unless prone or on a bipod
No the new mg can’t hipfire sorry if I confused you.

Yeah so okay, M2 Browning looks silly non the less…
Lets forget I mentioned M2, 50 cal is crazy
Pretty much this. There’s no reason for to not have both weapons.
So I voted no, A4 shouldn’t be replaced. It can get buff eventually.
