As a retired dude who spent to many years in sales, marketing and management, I scratch my head as to why Dark Force does not have all these old squads and weapons up for sale. As an ex sales manager, why would you not want to have things for sale that are going to make you money? Why hold them back? For some future contest? Look, this is a video game, it’s not like any of these old squads or weapons hold any real value, it’s not like your buying a classic car to store in your garage.
There are several squads I never heard of, and weapons like the M2 Hyde I didn’t even know existed in the game. Why not put them up and sell them as premium content, they are not going to be any more valuable a year from now then they are today, or were a year ago, so why sit on them? Hell, a year from now I and many others might have moved on from Enlisted, so that would be multiple sales you would lose just from this one player/customer. Don’t believe me DF, check my sales history, I have spent enough I should own stock in your company.
In fifteen years as a car dealership manager, I NEVER sat on cars, they cost the dealership money sitting on the back lot, they are only worth something when someone buys them. When I was a retail store manager, I didn’t hold onto merchandise, it cost the company money sitting in the back room.
So, why sit on your squads and weapons, especially if you have tons of ready buyers?
Well you cant sale founder weapon to non founder but tbh if all the founder already left then what the point of not selling them am i right? it would be such a waste for those cool gun to be store in dead account.
I guess I spent to many years in the real business world, with a boss who expected me to make him money. I don’t know what Dark Forces expectations are. I am sure they are making good money, but they are leaving so much money behind by not offering what they already have that people already want. You got to make money while the opportunity is there to make it.
Because those items are real world items that do not suddenly be exsist when you sell them, but just like in the real world exclusivity is a major reason for npric sorry but if th y made as many porches as dodges the pric might not be the same bur it would be lower, secondly limited exclusivity is far less value then permanent, not everyone uses th mcd model. Sometimes it’s better to sell fewer for more then more for less, also as much as we hate it fomo works, also stop trying to punish premerg f2p not this post but in general.
I’d like to purchase a few of the older /event squads as well; however, this is a free-to-play game and the developers need a way to manipulate players when it meets their needs. For example, the developers made the mistake of allowing players to sell their soldiers, squads, etc. during the merge period for tons of silver. So a lot of people were walking around with millions of silver, which means they probably weren’t spending any money. So the developers created the “veterans box” to pull that silver out of circulation. It worked. I saw people on Youtube who gambled 3 - 4 million silver and got nothing but crap in return. So, as long as the devs have something that we want I don’t think they’ll release it since they can use it to manipulate whatever outcome they want. Just my opinion!
that’s the problem, you’re already retired and you won’t be able to get a job at this company to replace these incompetent employees who are stuck in 2007 and are killing the game.
Yeah, there were squads and weapons that were off the market before I started playing over 2 1/2 years ago that as far as I know have never been offered. As an X business guy, I scratch my head. Whether it be a real world item, or a fake video game item it only holds value if people want it, and if people want it, sell it.
I will say I had some real classis cars in my life, and was stupid to sell them, but they had real value and no chance of not going up in value, but DF squads only hold value as long as people keep playing their game.

If DF wants players to use / create more BR presets then re-adding some of the legacy squads might help. I know aomw people sold them and regret it now. I have not sold a single duplicate or squad, I have presets for BR2, 3, 4,5 and I could set one up for BR1 if I wanted to as still have empty squads…
I wish Dark Force would wise up and put these squads up for sale. I can honestly say I would be making a big contribution to their game by purchasing a lot of them, but apparently, they aren’t that eager to make the money I know a lot of players would be paying.
Dark Force needs to realize that these squads only hold value as long as there are people playing their game, but once people start moving on to other games, the time to sell is past. I have been downloading other games, and if one fits my fancy more then Enlisted, my time playing and investing in this game will be on the decline, and Enlisted is NOT a new game.
I’m already finishing out my faction tech tree’s, so there is not much for me to look forward to unless DF starts giving reasons to be excited.
Back when I started playing, I used to ask myself “how can Dark Force give this game out for free” as I know it took money to create. Then I realized, they get you in, get you hooked and then make money hand over fist getting you to buy premium content, premium weapons and premium squads. Brilliant, as I can buy another war game for $59.99 one time, and Enlisted is making money non stop from us as long as we keep playing and buying. However like I had said earlier, there is a time limit as to how long people will keep playing in numbers and how long the squads DF is holding back are worth anything.
I’ve been thinking the same thing. been itching to be able to buy some more UK squads but never get the opportunity. i would buy up a lot of the older squad if given the chance.
Same as the tank camo skin are pointless and i would by a few camo skin if they just add the option to automatically set default skins for terrain as i do not want a snow camo on my tank when taking part in Burma map. seems like a wasted opportunity to make money for them.
Currently only the Allies can I play all five BR ratings with preset squads. However for the way I like to play, I had to purchase quite a few premium assaulter and medic squads to do this. I have five levels of squads laid out for Germany, but need one assaulter or medic squad for my level one as currently, I have to float a squad from other levels to play level one. This is one reason I have been after DF to lower the MP18 squad I bought a year or two ago to level one, where quite honestly it should be, especially since the MP18 came before the MP28 and MP34 which are both level one weapons. Personally, I wish DF would just change these premium squads so you could change weapons as I have several squads I would use in other levels if this were possible. I don’t have enough squads to do this with Russia or Japan, but my ultimate goal would be to have preset squads for all BR levels for all factions…I just need DF cooperation to meet that goal.
