Why devs dont bring back pre-high calibre ai?

They were able to follow you from windows
Dont stuck too much
Able to react decently
But after high calibre something went very wrong and near a year later, it hasnt recovered yet.

I somewhat disagree. I’ve grown to like that the AI act more like people movements. In a way it encourages you to move with your AI like a team and keep them alive instead of treating them like lemmings

If I’m charging through a door the AI will be right by my side

And yes don’t get me wrong they can be janky sometimes

Real life soldier dontry try to go into some build by walking half of its around, totally exposing themselves to incoming enemy right infront of them just to enter the building from its main gates rather than simply getting into it by the window at its back.
They also try to take cover while under attack without their commander to order it since its fundemantal part of their training.
I think you assume that homo sapiens sapiens is at the same level with creatures like running chickens or sitting ducks

this is basically the most frustrating thing, they will either die, expose whole team, not take the chance to enter cap point fast enough, not help me build something (engi walks all way around)

better pathfinding, awareness are key to enlisted development

I have never seen people moving through barbed wire even if there is a free path next to it. Ihave seen no one using the long and harder way to get to the same point you could get it by simply climbing though a big window.

Weird because thats how they still are.
