Why can't you dissemble the first machine gun on a second build? And why are ammo boxes the only thing that rebuild after max?

Anyone else find it annoying having a machine gun squad and building a machine gun only to have it become hard to find, behind enemy lines, stays there far too long even though the battle lines have moved. It would also be nice if the ammo box mechanic of building a new one once you reach the limit would be applied to wires and sandbags. It is also annoying to use a strike to remove you old engineering builds. Does the game give a reason for this?

  • Machine gun visible to entire squad
  • Machine gun rebuild
  • Wire and bags cycle after 10
  • No, keep it the way it is
  • Yes, some changes would be nice

Can you rephrase this?

When you build the initial machine gun nest with an engineer that machine gun stays in place and you cannot build another one anyplace until A. You disassemble it or B. It gets destroyed when the cap moves up 2 spots. C. The enemy destroys it. Also, only the engineer can see it. Making it difficult to find in you are clever about concealing it. Usually the placement of the machine gun has a lot to do with how deadly it is.

When you build a ammo box you can build 3, the 1st one disappears if you build a 4th one. It is a practical mechanic that allows the engineer to build an additional item without going back to the first one and dissembling it.

That mechanic would be great for sand bags and wire.

The suggestions are examples of partial solutions, more comprehensive solutions or complete solutions. I do not know the reasoning behind the machine gun nest (And will assume cannons, AA) being static once you place one versus ammo boxes being unlimited build 3 total.

Wire 10 limit
Bags 10 limit
Tank Traps 6 limit
Machine gun 1 static
Fire mortar 1 static
AA, Cannon 1 static?
Ammo box 3 total unlimited build

  • That explains it!
  • I don’t get it!
