non of the paratroopers we have dont use standart weapons as lmg. lmgs were depolyed with pack. british paras were using thompson or sten smgs . grman, american an japanese requires their ones after dropping from cargo but brits have as standart ? wtf ? do devs know how heavy and big lmg to use while dropping ? It is a heavy weapon

But seriously, it’s extremely dumb.
I could understand this if vickers was the only weapon they have. But they drop with a freaking supply box that is just perfect to hold heavy weapons. It’s logical to give them light weapons for jumps and heavy in crate. It doesn’t take even 10s to come up with this idea.
DF just refuses to use brain sometimes.
Summary
Reasons™
I wish they went with the same route they went with the Japanese Para’s, instead of big bulky LMG’s they could have been equipped with the Lee Enfield, weapons they would have actually dropped with, but no, they had to go with an lmg.
i would prefer bolt actions than lmgs with f---- up bipod mechanics
hell nah.
don’t touch my english chaps.
vickers > literally any other weapon.
if you know how to control the recoil and shoot the right ammount in burst,
it makes quick work of every opponents that you see.
plus, everyone is a machinegunner. and bots with machineguns, are on a whole another level.
not happy?
you can grab lancasters smgs from the box.
or sniper rifles, or AT, or mortars with engy.
easily one of the strongest squad in the game, hands down.
but… for realism sake, it’s kinda dumb. no doubts.
although, enlisted never really have been about that so…
They don’t care about balance Even though it’s stuck in semi automatic and we have to change it once we land And yet the allies magically dropped combat ready for some reason.
100 round mag Thompsons make even less sense to me. Like the whole idea of a paratrooper weapon is to be lightweight and compact.
Drum mag Thompson is heavy and clunky.
100 mag Thompson is even more heavy and clunky…
id rather for them to have the sten mk5 with bayonet that would be much better smh
This would probably be the most logical and historically accurate weapon for them to use.
To be fair British Airborne are usually glider troop not parachute at least during 1944
I dont know, but yeah you are right, it is kinda dumb and unfair at the same time
