Why are all Browing 1918s BRIII?

I suggest making the basic M1918 a BR II weapon. Remove 1 upgrade star and let it be a BR II weapon.

Reasoning for that would be:

  1. Damage is the same as Bren Mk.I, Mk.II and the Vickers-Berthier
  2. Recoil is comparable to the Vickers-Berthier, maybe even slightly worse
  3. Magazine capacity is lower then the other MG’s at BR II as well.
  4. Historically the Americans went into WW2 with an obsolete MG that barely made it into WW1

Personally I hate the other BR II MG’s available in the Allied tech tree. The top mounted magazines take too much situational awarenes so I would rather go without!

god tier sights, god tier handling. i play them above mg34 which has 2,5 as much ammo. the little BARs are one of the best weapons in general

Because every single LMG, even the chauchat, start at BR 2.
BR3 pretty much became the dumping ground for even the shittiest BAR variants because they can’t be equal or lower than the Bren variants.

No thanks BAR is already overpowered at BR3. There are barely any difference between them.

If that were to happen,that would include the polish BAR as they are very similar guns (it could arguably be worse because of very shaky closed sights when moving)

Because the BAR kicks rear and takes names harder than any other gun in the game just about

Madsen and MG13 are much worse than Vickers Berthier. American players already have much stronger weapons than other factions in BR2, It’s just that most people are not aware of this, because they are all playing in BR5.so there is no reason to demand more.

Because unlike the others, you can switch it over to single fire and use it like a 20-round Garand, among other things.
