In principle, I support this game’s innovative gameplay
But if the so-called “innovation” of this game is to force players to play garbage without any logical thinking and no balance at all, then such “innovation” is unnecessary.
What I’m going to talk about today is why “Confrontation” mode sucks? Or where is the rot in it?
First of all, the worst thing about the “confrontation” mode is that when one of the players on one side successfully captures a strategic point, your enemies will be spawned directly at the next strategic point, and you must eliminate them all before they capture the strategic point and then stabilize your position and occupy it. strategic point
Before that, your team may have been reduced due to the battle at the previous strategic point, your bullets may have been used up, your engineers may have been killed, and the enemies at the previous strategic point are still fighting guerrilla warfare with you to ambush you.
But you don’t have time, because the strategic point locking time is very short. When you die and resurrect, you will find that you still have to run one or two hundred meters. Before that, your enemy does not have to do anything when he resurrects at the strategic point. .
Then the whole game becomes a damn marathon, where you wander between two strategic points until one side’s manpower is exhausted.
But where is the “confrontation”? All I see is players being toyed around like a dog picking up twigs
This mode is a year old and I can’t see any patches to improve it, last year I was screwed in this damn mode and same thing this year
I won’t play this crap mode anymore, it’s like a train and should go to custom games
Oh yeah, it’s the second worst in my opinion, the worst being the attackers in “Assault” mode, but that’s something I’ll complain about next time
The worst part, capturing usually is less important than killing, i have lost games before even tho we had captured all but the last enemy position, simply because my team loved wasting tickets.
I might be a minority but I actually really enjoy confrontation.
I really appreciate that snowballs are much harder to achieve, and sometimes the need to plan a few moves ahead to overcome is very satisfying. Also both teams get the same rules and have multiple ways to win. This is sooo good. So you can change it up if one way isnt working (Capture, Attrition, Supply)
As for defenders spawning on the point, they own it. Its their defensive line…why wouldnt they be there. It remains locked long enough for the attacking team to get established, and if you are thinking ahead, you have already put in support infastructure to support the next attack before it moved.
Even in invasion mode defenders have a small time window to spawn on the next to-be captured objective, so I don’t get your complaint at all… Confrontation, however unpopular, is the best game mode gameplay wise.
Both teams have tickets, but sides can go on attack and defend, grace period for cap points. That makes players to actually use brains and not waste tickets, maybe even be somewhat strategic.
Personally I like the game mode itself. Some maps needs urgent changes tho.
