I just don’t want a hostile environment created which would result in a loud vocal minority being the only voices heard. Some people aren’t prepared for mentally nor want to expose themselves to vitriol or adversarial discussion as displayed from time to time here.
Then they shouldn’t be online if a forum discussion can trigger them.

Forum discussions do not need to be filled with flaming, curse words, passive/active aggression, backhanded insults or demeaning language.
You could also not be so soft that other people arguing bothers you tbh
Most of the stuff flagged doesn’t fit any of that and getting uppity over it is pathetic

Honestly it doesn’t matter because even when we shit sling we come back together and can agree on things like adults.
You’ve got your wehrbs, ameriboos, slavaboos and what not. We may not agree on everything, but we can come together and pool suggestions and compromise on things.
It may get heated, but it doesn’t stay that way and most people are mature enough to handle it. And honestly if someone gets upset by that kind of thing, maybe they’re not mature enough to be online let alone take part in forum discussions to shape the future of a game.

Because it has historic connotations of being commonly applied to black people in the USA for being “above their station”.
That’s just history - why it has racist connotations.
