The Field of View slider in both CRSED F.O.A.D and Enlisted is capped from 70° minimum to 90° maximum. In my opinion the screen space is still too narrow, almost every other shooter (including milsims) allow you to increase your FOV to around 120° at max, if not a little higher. This lets people see more in their screen (at the cost of performance and some distortion), along with giving relief to some people who suffer from nausea and motion sickness.
I find the capped FOV of 90° to be too restricting, especially with Enlisted being a first-person shooter. Now I admittedly don’t know how the devs have scaled FOV in these games, but it certainly feels worse than other games where I can play at 90° with no issue. If increasing the FOV does break viewmodels or whatever, I’m willing to put up with that if a disclaimer is made at the Slider screen.
There are many other issues with Enlisted that deserved to be addressed first, but I’d really appreciate if one of the devs would confirm if / when an update that allows us to increase our Field of View can be expected.
Thanks
I think that might be part of the idea. Enlisted has very restrictive settings because they don’t want a war thunder scenario where higher (or especially lower) settings give you an unfair advantage.
Field of View can give you an advantage, but not as much when compared to other settings. You’ll see more on screen but you will lose some frames and you’ll also have a distortion effect which can give you a weird depiction of distance.
The main visual settings which give people an advantage are those which are tied to draw distance and textures, which many people already abuse in other games. Not to mention that Nvidia based driver hack that people can do which lowers their LOD. Now I’m totally cool with the devs making it so these settings won’t give you an advantage, I support this idea wholeheartedly. But FOV is kind of a necessity (in my opinion) to allow people to have an experience free from motion sickness, as well as being immersed in your game.
90 is enough what do you want to be behind the player 90 is to far

I don’t get what you’re saying, it just comes off like gibberish?

here I thought it was an issue only on console.
Luckily for me, I play at 90°. 120° feels like I’m looking through a fish bowl
