What's up with matchmaking since the new battlepass?

Have they changed matchmaking?
Because I’ve been defeated non-stop, no single victory since the new battlepass.
Only matches (over 15 of them) at which the opponent has significantly better players, like the match I just played:

Is anyone experiencing the same thing?
Or exactly the opposite?

Just had my first try at the pacific campaign, where allies are said to be heavily overpowered.
I didn’t really notice that at all:

yeah sweatlords… ffs they have marshal already, so they probably are always playing in team and are high level players.

Yeah it really surprised me that some people have reached the marshall rank already, since the new battlepass has only been released for just a few days…

well lots of playing in squads and you get 100% WR with few battle heroes and you grind it relatively fast.

In my case I used to have a WR of about 50% which is how it should be IMO.
But now it’s more like 25% or lower… whenever I open the scoreboard at the start of the game, I can already see which team will win because of big rank differences; the outcome has already been decided beforehand.

if game was balanced and you had some skill based MM then that would be normal WR. but cause you have heavy player disbalance in most campaigns, you have heavy WR bias toward side with more human players.

I’ve been losing more on Japan recently. US have better weapons, but they also have less players & more campers in general. For like one patch US won every game, but Japan has been doing better overall. The balance has been really rough.

Also I’m pretty sure some of those guys are a premade, I think I played with 'em, ended up wasting my time building rally points because they just mowed down every point, coordinated assaults are OP

IME, most people go into camping mode when they start to get steamrolled by the opponent, making the chances of ever pushing an objective even slimmer.

Yeah the camping is self reinforcing. I’ve always advocated map changes to alleviate it. The visibility in and out of spawn zone is a huge part of the issue.
I can often be on the point, and getting invuln warnings when shooting at people in their spawn. I do not think I should be able to see attackers’ whole spawn from the point, and I don’t think attackers should have a huge mountain in the grey zone with overwatch of the whole play area. It encourages this form of playing, which the premade is abusing by swarming objectives, it seems.

Yeah IMO, the spawn zones should be farther away from the objectives, with vehicles to reduce travel time.
That way people can’t camp from spawn and the other way around…
Countless times, I’ve accidentally been fighting right next to spawn just after the enemy took an objective shifting the battle territory, resulting in 0 damage when shooting at them (the shield symbol pops up in that case).

Yes, it’s only fair at the first objective in a map if the attacker has to “set foothold” on to a map, a bit like “landing or invasion” idea.

I just experienced how much of a difference JUST ONE of those sweatlords makes - because one of them got disconnected at 3/4th of the game and we won with a close margin because of that:

In the Normandy Coalition campaign, it is a series of the worst balances. On the enemy side I could hear the sound of MP43 gunfire and Tiger tank drives, and on our side all I could hear was the sound of M3 grease guns and M1903 rifles.
I was playing in a half-angry rage.

All the past Marshals last time have their rank reset so its back to grinding rank once again. I just got my Marshal recently so I’m just creating a buffer zone on my rating right now so I could take more bad matches especially as Japanese in the Pacific.

It doesn’t take long to get Marshall rank. I’m like 3 ranks away from Marshall myself.

depends on the playtime and side/campaign you are playing. also i desert all shitty modes so that doesnt help…

I also have the feeling that there are more bots than before in the game, at the moment I am chaining defeats on all campaigns. Or to the point I am in the test phase on which server played, I lost a global victory of 0.40 so it may seem ridiculous but on 2300 games played, it is a huge ratio of defeats …

the only campaign where I still manage to make victories is berlin… I flee pacific because it’s full spam dca and dca tank, I saturate and it amuses me more at all.in addition I see more and more suspicious shots from players, dca who sees everyone while they can not see us (natural scenery, several houses blocking his view etc) things that there are not on the other campaigns, well if but it represents 1 game out of 10 or I see this kind of scenarios.

when the dca tanks are at the other end of the map, that there are bushes, smoke, trees, rocks, full of small houses, but that they manage to see you at 400m, I begin to seriously doubt the effectiveness of the anti cheat of the game lol.

but to come back to the subject of this post, clearly since the beginning of this new campaign, to make a victory it comes down to what Madame tells me tonight I do not have a migraine! lol lol
