Better maneverability due to lower weight. It is especially noticeable on planes like the FW 190

If you play:

All FW

I-185

P-39Q (US and USSR)

P-40E (USSR and US)

P-63

P-51

you can select 30% with this aircraft only for P-51 I cant decide is 50% or 30% better. But all the rest are better at 30%.

It’s a feature that all pilot players have wanted for years.
Only now are they solving a problem that’s been there since the very beginning.
I feel like I’m going to cry.

Making airplanes lighter solves many problems.

It is the direct opposite… resupplying fills up your fuel btw

What is the upside to this system being implemented as opposed to the developers choosing a fuel amount appropriate for each aircraft for us? I understand the desire for certain players to min/max, but does anyone think this new system might be confusing to the majority of players?

What percentage of players will learn the nuance of which fuel setting is best for each aircraft? How many average players will be at a disadvantage because they don’t know what fuel percentage to select, or just let the game choose for them?

Games are not exactly long enough for this to matter even for a Focke-Wulf Fw 190 that’s 40 minutes on 30%.

Well no downsides I don’t see downsides at the moment you can use all aircrafts at 30% probably. Even if they implement the fuel be able to go to 0 all aircrafts will be able to be in the air for 30-40 minutes so it will affect only very good players that dont die. Not to mention majority of the pilots literally die in few seconds to 2 minutes so 30% fuel is more then enough for a normal Enlisted game.
