So, just a hypothetical curiosity question. If Enlisted morphed into a WW2 game where you had no BR levels and you could only play with “ONE” soldier carrying “ONE” main weapon, what weapon would your soldier be carrying?

Well, since I would have to walk around woth the thing for yesrs I would choose something lightweight, so for me probably the PPS-43 or something

Fedorov Avtomat. Works well on medium and short ranges and it has a bayonet so i can charge

Cönders machine gun or TKB 336, and in general, if the game’s arsenal didn’t get smaller, I would often change weapons to diversify the gameplay

if "i’d"be in the Uk, i’d go for the sniper lee-enfield ( such a good weapon )
if “i’d” be with the italians, Moschetto M91 any day.
if “i’d” be with japan, i’d settle for the long Arisaka with the funny flag on it
if “i’d” be with the USSR, i’d go with the SVT 40.
and if i’d be with germany, must be my beloved VG 1–5, G43 or Kriegsmodel Kar98k. ( I like all their Sound and texture models )

Oh, that’d be a difficult choice…
I’m sorry, but the most modern weapon of the war that was adopted in large numbers is the STG 44. An AR is just the superior weapon for a regular infantryman…
But, we’re talking about choosing only one weapon, and I do prefer my plucky Brits, so I would probably have to go with a Patchett Machine Carbine Mk I. Modern, lightweight, compact, respectable fire-power (being an SMG), and uses standard Sten gun magazines (should be able to rearm anywhere friendly, or using captured MP 28 magazines).
I would miss all my other Commonwealth weapons, though…

That is pretty much the only BR3 MG I use when I play Germany…Or Japan for that matter.

FG-42 II with a rifle grenade launcher and a scope. This would give it maximum versatility for both close-quarters and long-range combat. Overall, that’s exactly how it was in Heroes & Generals))
