Not sure what this armored transport truck is but pretty gnarly. Actual restored WWII pic.
Can some one ID it?
Armored train on wheels.
feels like AI slopfication to be honest.
but in theory, it’s based on the Mercedes-Benz L 4500 A with extra armor
( no idea why the AI gave it a cannon in the cabin )
and it has an AA Flak 36
but some also mounted flak 37s or 38s
the one above was photographed in dreux ( Eure-et-Loir ) 1944 .
used by Luftwaffe approaching the landings
Yeah Couldn’t find it through Google Lens albeit the Google AI told me it was a Panhard 178 and Grok a Sd.Kfz. 231.
According to ChatGPT, this is the picture:
“Un sous-lieutenant de la DCA de l’armée de l’air allemande (Leichte Flak Abteilung 71) sur le garde-boue d’un semi-chenillé Sd.Kfz.6/2.”
Archive reference: DAA 2096 L12
/ A German Luftwaffe anti-aircraft second lieutenant of Leichte Flak-Abteilung 71 standing on the fender of an Sd.Kfz. 6/2 half-track. The archive identifies the photographer as Alfred Kunnert, the photographic unit as Luftwaffe K.B.K. 1, and the location as the Soviet Union/Russia. The photograph belongs to a series covering elements of Leichte Flak-Abteilung 71 attached to the 11th Panzer Division.
It seems to be a The vehicle is an Sd.Kfz. 6/2 with a 3.7cm FlaK 36/37. Still doesnt explain the barrel in the driver’s cabin.

So maybe some French-guy or who wants to use auto-translator can find more.
it could be the rarer longer version

problem is,
all have a fixed windshield.
not as the " curtains " type shown above.
and, the barrell doesn’t go beyond the cabin.
… could be a further proto since, most were field modifications and not fully fledged productions.
I dont think it is AI. It was a black and white restored
