What is the incentive of using select fire weapons?

Except op weapons like avs or fg 42 which can burst fire, every soldier realoading their guns as fast as guiness record holder anyway.
Bolt actions are way more precise, deadlier and and better at long ranges.
So as a player who is good at bolties, why would i continue to use them ?
What are their optimal using situations and do they worth ?

for cqc and mid ranges.

pretty much majority of the maps.

especially on stalingrad, berlin & Normandy.

Bolt actions are boring and for squares. All the cool kids use M1 carbines (wich I´m pretty I´m the only one who does hehehe).

Mid ranges is where semi autos shine, selectfire weapons usually combine the mid range potential with close combat power, they “potentially” combine the power of rifles with the power of SMGs without a drawback.

They make semi auto guns obsolete because they also usually have bigger magazines.

The only reasons why you would want to pick something over a FG 42 for example, is if you need long range consistency without deviation - then you would pick a good bolt action, or if you need a extra big magazine for wiping squads in close quarters - then you pick a top tier SMG like a PPsh, or drum Thompson.

But that drawback is usually irrelevant under 100 meters.

Personally, I’ve just started giving my riflemen two firearms so I can switch between bolties and semis.

Semi autos or select fire are for when you need to thin down numbers faster, and very good at close to medium range.

Also excellent for those acustomed to aiming high (headshot)

At least thats when i use them. But i still use boltys more. I enjoy them

The moment you reload that 5 rnd strip for the boltie inside a building with enemy rushing toward you prefire the PPSH41 on their hand, you know you fked up

You attack a point. There is 20 enemies there. The rally is 60 meters away. By the time you are done with your first 5 rounds, a new squad has respawned and ran back into the capzone.
With semiautos you can mulch way more enemies way more quickly during assaults.
If all you do is lie of the ground 200 meters away from the objective then yeah, semiautos are actually useless. But, unless you are literally getting a kill every few seconds, so are you. Play the damn objective
