What if super high caliber HE damage travels through walls?

The big issues with something like a IS2 tank and its horrible reload speed is that strong HE that can’t deal consistent damage, is effectively weak HE.

Imagine if, even if just in a small radius, HE damage from HE and Bombs would travel through walls - starting with just a tiny AOE area of half a meter with small caliber guns - going to something like 5 meters for 500 KG bombs and IS2 HE, effectively allowing massive caliber guns to do what they are supposed to do - destroying emplacements, effectively allowing for vehicles like KV2, ISU 152 and such to be added without them being just useless big targets.

That way high caliber explosives could be used tactically as infantry support tools - without needing to implement a whole destruction system.

There was also reason it was nerfed.

You might be right about this, but I think bombs back in beta days were pure nukes, I remember when one pilot could wipe the entire map - friendlies included because of team kills.

It already does, I see people with an IS-2 kill me while two walls, a floor, and the World Trade Center was between us and I died from the sheer power that is 122mm.

Maybe on normal brick wall but it should not happen through concret bunkers and im nor sure if devs are able to treat then diffrently.
This might open the pandoras box for exlposive spam as more and more large HE gets this treatment and then you are back to pre fixed HVAR killing everything even through walls again.

Well, thats why effective blast penetration should be limited to high caliber guns, HVAR would seem ridiculous with such mechanic

But HVAR and especially the WfR G.21 Rocket have more TNT than high caliber shells so it wouldnt be to hard to justify demanding that they get it too just for consistancy/realism sake even though it would be terrible for the game itself.
