What will happen if we combine Germany Technology and Japan Technology into Axis Technology , and combine USA Technology and USSR Technology into Allies Technology?
Actually, the Germany Technology already contains Italy weapons while the USA technology already contains Britain weapons.
Now that our Enlisted is a World War 2 game, and the WW2 is about the battle between Axis and Allies.
Let us have an assumption that: if we only have two technology tree------ one Axis Technology Tree and one Allies Technology Tree.
What will you do to your squads’ weapon and vehicle if we only have one Axis Technology Tree and one Allies Technology Tree?
Would you change your squads’ armament?
I see Japan benefitting a lot more from this than Germany (except in SMGs). Germany would benefit from having a good Shotgun alternative as well, though.
And I see the Soviets benefitting a lot more than the Western Allies (except in tanks). Rocket spam would be horrendous.
Ideas are worth discussing.
Personally I agree that we would see Japan benefit the most, followed by Soviets while European Axis and Western Allies have so many nations included with them that there is very little they could gain by being mixed up.
However how would match making change? would Japanese queue together with the Germans and Italians? Same with Soviets, British and Americans?
I think it would this way, which doesnt sounds bad at first but do we really want to see
Soviets storming the beaches of Normandy?
British soldiers crawling the sewers of Stalingrad?
German troops burning up the the jungles of New Georgia?
Japanese guerrillas skirmishing in Tunisia?
What about Japan getting German/Italian and Soviets getting British/American weapons?
Historically many weapons and vehicles were lend-leased to USSR, some of them could be used to increase variety, run events and sell premiums.
Japan has also purchased weapons and vehicles from Germany and Italy, was actively trading with Switzerland so Japan could get some Italian, German and Swiss weapons and vehicles the same way as USSR.
In fact the recent events have a German made Tiger for Japan and a British UC for USSR so technically we already have precedent for this practice.
