Normandy / German side
Was using sniper and was at left side, wasted my full mag killing enemy then went to a LMG nest instead of reloading saw 1 enemy squad running from below near me (they didn’t saw me then) so I fired the LMG at them for a good 4sec without them firing back at me, as I was hitting them, all I saw was WHITE X instead of them dying from the LMG (they didn’t die full view NO OBSTRUCTION) seeing this I prone and ran back to just get killed by a plane.
WADAPUQJUST HAPPENED? can somebody explain that to me?

Normal spawns as far as I remember have a 10 second spawn protection. Maybe your hitting a fresh spawned squad?
In early beta tests I had that issue multiple times in the heat of the Battle, dumping a mag on a soldier and only getting hit markers. When I notice it I had to change weapons and shot him again. Then I was able to kill him lol

spawn protection work only for normal spawn point, not rally point (they removed rally point spawn protection) so either he was shooting a freshly spawned squad from the rear spawn point as you said or it was a classic enlisted moment XD
Yeah, One of those enlisted moments (my first one).
This happened near the Objective point mid map (Normandy beach) saw them running flanking from hill to objective.
pretty sure any normal spawn point wouldn’t pop anywhere near the objective point, if I’m to guess the distance between that squad and the objective it was about 4 tanks length., would try the change weapon tactic next time.
