What do you guys think about Tunisia?

I just can’t seem enjoy this campaign. Most maps are very open but most fights are concentrated in tiny houses. Axis teams somehow loose all the time and most of my deaths are caused by allied soldiers jumping all over the place with sten’s and tommy’s. MP-28 is too awful to compete and Drilling is more of a joke than an actual gun. I try using rifles and playing long range but the positioning of capture points forces me to go inside houses to defend points and eventually get mowed down by SMG’s. Playing tanks is not much better as well. I always end up being surrounded by enemies who throw large amounts of explosive packs from windows. If I go outside of town I don’t die as fast but I also get no kills. In most battles I get like 30 kills and 10 deaths which is awful meaning I get 3 kills per death. And even with this awful K/D, I somehow manage to have more kills than my whole team.

yeah I’m finding it a bit blah too.

It’s a very strange campaign. You have open ground almost everywhere but somehow SMGs are meta (together with spastic CQC gameplay we have in enlisted).
At least maps are beautifull.

look who is back again.

long time no see.

either way, i feel like the whole scenario with tunisia it’s a whole dejavoo with normandy in it’s beginning.

like, people were waiting for british forces and the playerbase ( which was the previous normandy ally playerbase. now normandy it self it’s like… easy mode for germans due to low ammount of people ) went over there.

not to mention, axis over tunisia it’s full of bots. no doubts ( which it’s the reason why majority of the time, in 3 minuts that you play, you end up being first in the leaderboard and still on top till the end ).
and not everyone is willing to grind back for the fourth time the germans ( with a few elements of italians ).

just like berlin, this issue it will be fixed with time. i guess more challenge for the axis.

truee, in terms of content, i was a bit disappointed as well, and thought it was going to be different ( like, halftracks, new italian weapons and other changes.) but i still somewhat like it. except the outdated equipment ( perhaps, just matter of time?).

It’s current premium squads are just a joke

That could be true, all my teammates are using starter squads such as sniper and riflemen squads. Nobody uses tanks and SMG’s while the enemy uses all kinds of weapons such MG’s, engineers, AT gunners and SBD bombers

After devs implement stg44 in tunisia there will be lot of axis players.

My 2 cents.

The good:

1.- Super beautiful maps. The interior of each house with coffee cups and saucers, etc., is worthy of praise alone, etc.
2.- Light, warm and sandy atmosphere.
3.- I once wrote about the introduction of sub-faction. In Tunisia, we are seeing the first steps towards that. I am very pleased about that.
4.- Shovels. and the ability to dig trenches
5.- New game mode.
6.- Motorcycles and a new unit class.
7.- Just in love I am a German premium Hermann Göring motorcycle squad  (German bs bonus)

The bad:

1.- Maps are very inclined towards CQC. You don’t see all that beauty of the surrounding fields because it’s basically a “house cleaning”. Sure, one or other map of this style is fun, but, in the Tunisian campaign, you’d like more open battles taking place throughout that desert atmosphere.
2.- This raises another problem (which is present in other campaigns), maps are very poor adapted to tank gameplay. Still very much spawn camping while just standing in the middle of the street with the tank and just not letting escape from the spawn area and ect.
3.- The aforementioned Destruction mode is still very reckless and most players don’t bother to play it.
4.- Shovels are almost useless because, as has already been said, most battle takes place in buildings and the functions of the shovel become meaningless.
5.- A machine gun on a motorcycle is more than a meme option as it is difficult to utilize this feature as the motorcycle is just a light prey, whether it is a tank or a soldier. Can lose an entire squad in 5 minutes without even getting off the motorcycle. If it were possible to remove the machine gun, it would be another matter.

Personally, I was expecting something different from what we have now, but I am convinced that it is still very much possible to tune Tunisia. I would like this to become my main campaign.

Personally my favorite campaign, but some objectives are rough because they involve crossing wide open spaces so smoke artillery is make or break for a team on the offense.

pretty maps, nice aesthetic, unbalanced and easily exploitable mess

The worst-balanced map so far.

The prime reason why the axis teams are full of bots is because anyone with any kind of sensible decision-making abilities will look at how the campaign progresses would take a look and go “Yeah, not this campaign”

i enjoy the new units,
fighters planes need some bombs i think
i dislike the maps, best maps are batttle of moscow and normandy atm for me

Let’s not talk about the gap in equipment for the time being.

  1. Almost all the target points are in the second floor, and it is useless to dig a shallow trench. The enemy on the second floor can easily hit the soldiers in the trench. It takes a lot of time to build a resurrection point in the dug pit. You need to know that the trench walls are not vertical.
  2. There are too few houses around the target point, and the attackers need to break through a long section of open land.
  3. There are always too many robots on the axis, and the matching mechanism is not willing to make us wait a little longer to gather enough people.
    Some suggestions:
The Ai in the team is enough, don’t add so many robot players, let both sides gather the number of people to fight instead of me 1vs8, and the robot will waste points.

they should really replace the MP28 with something usable, but my main hate for tunisia is the destruction mode, and the fucking springfield returns

MP-28 could be replaced by another berretta version like the one from Normandy or they could just simply give us the MP-38.

Or they could replace the regular MP-28 mag with the extended magazine (present in Normandy), this magazine was far more common than the 20 round magazine

Only a handful, if that, are second floor, the majority are ground floor.

I’m very 50/50 on these, I like them, but as a 2 man squad, they really don’t last long, and now that the soldier changes have been implimented, i only really saw this squad as a way to train up units alongside the main squads, (Like radiomen when not using radiosquad), but now, i don’t see much point in either a radioman or sniper on this unit.

Love and hate it. The engineers at level 9 makes for a massive gap in abilities where if one side have even one player with engineers their odds to win go up tremendously. Having to cross vast distances is a real killer over and over. I find both factions fairly balanced but there are far more higher level allies making for very lopsided games. ALL tanks have buggy hit boxes.

would be great if maps were bigger (to get to sniper/flanking points faster) but as the game is there’s little reason to use snipers (for scopes) over riflemen anyway since engagements take place mostly below 150m and iron sights are fine for this.

even on normandy i have to hit ammo 3+ times to detonate a puma and the stuart’s front is still bouncing shells from a panther. honestly think it might be a desync problem at this point or something

Very lame experience. I pretty much hate all of the Tunisia maps and design choices for the campaign. Only enticing part is that it’s “new” and features equipment which is unique to that campaign, such as Italian and Europoor weapons.
