What do you guys think about a WW1, post WW1 campaign in the future?

I think it would be really cool, totally unique. Some possible battles.

  1. Western front 1918 France, Britain vs Germany
  2. Eastern front 1917. Austro-hungarian empire, Germany vs Russian empire
  3. Italian front 1918. Austro hungarian empire, germany vs Italy in the alps.
  4. Russian civil war: Bolsheviks vs White russians
  5. Baltic war for independance. Lithuanians, Germans, Latvians, Estonians vs Bolsheviks. (This was never covered before, would be interesting.)

Tell me what youd like to see

I think it would be fun. No semi autos, no select fire rifles, no op ARs. No one would cry about balance if we only have bolts.

well the ww2 is not infinite and war thunder cover from pre-bellic to modern era so there are a possibility for pre-bellic conflict get adapted in the game

True, but the games would probably end up extremely campy, with anyone who dares poke out getting shot
Also im not sure some of these objectives would work in a map filled with trenches, from a gameplay perspective

Definitely doable since we already have a shit ton of ww1 guns which are mostly not competitive (m1903, chauchat, m1907 and dragoon mosin, G98, lebel, MP-18, Beretta-1918…)

While a WW1 might be fun I oppose it for the same reasons I do not like the idea of a Vietnam, or modern compaign.
1: To my knowledge there are already tons of arcade and realistic WW1 games; same situation with the other two campaigns I mentioned.
2: I would rather they focused entirely on WW2. Although I wouldn’t mind a modern game built on Enlisted’s engine down the road. But I would rather that be it’s own project, not related to Enlisted.

If you class federov as a AR then yes. But there were no select fires or many semis. They will be left to premiums, and gold

The only WW1 gamea are Verdun, and BF1. While the WW2 games are countless

Russian civil war would be interesting, especially with American Expeditionary Force fighting Bolsheviks in North Russia. The french fighting Bolsheviks in Southern Russia (Odessa)

Would be great apart from bolts many weapons like shotguns,smg were also there in ww1, also don’t forget the weird looking tanks, mele weapons, and gas grenades and gas masks. WW 1 campaign would be really fun !

I honestly don’t think a WW1 campaign will be much fun. It would more or less be Moscow with only bolt actions (which I love, Moscow is my favorite campaign), but I have a feeling that people will still be bunny hopping and doing very un-WW1 like things.
Additionally we have to ask why there are not many WW1 games. You gave bf1 for arcade fun and verdun for realistic fun (I personally haven’t played any, please correct if I am wrong). But most WW1 games look alike. I don’t think that the majority of people will play because they like the feel of a WW1 campaign but because they like the cool guns that will inevitably come.
So I believe that the campaign would either die out really quick or be filled with prototype automatics to bring people in. And all of the sudden you have BF1 with less health and squads.

Tanneberg is verdun but eastern front
