What distance are the guns sighted in at?

Since I’m not allowed to choose what I sight my gun in at, can I at least know what has been chosen for me?

I believe it’s 7

7 what, apples, bananas, disappointments, legdays?

Anyway guns usually have fixed ironsights for 100m but there probably are some exceptions.

I been wondering about aircraft, but I didn’t notice any centering so I guess its either a 1000m or non existent.

7 notches?

For pistols and 45 acp smgs it’s 40m
For the rest it’s 100m

Why are the SMGs not sighted at 40m instead of 50m?

to be really honest, does it even matter? Even the longest shots I’ve taken on Normandy beach (trying to snipe off MG campers all the way in the back) didn’t really have meaningful drop lol
Unless it’s for a mod or something and I’m being accidentally toxic?

99% sure there is no centering - and TBH I actually hope it’s not coming unless we get an option to set it to our preferences

Did you just ask if it matters what your gun is sighted in at?

Well for game purposes it’s effectively no drop for rifles all the way out as far as you can see!! so all are sighted at point blank.

There is drop at longer ranges - you mostly see it with MG’s shooting at longer ranges (200m+) and the tracer drops. Also if you try long range shots with SMGs (that somehow have tracer??!!_

This is exactly why I have all my smgs at either 100-150m (200m if the sight flips by 100+ meters like with the PPSH). Yet Thompsons are set at 40m??? Their sight was at a minimum of 100m by the time the 1928A1 Thompson was being mass-produced. I set my Mosin Nagant to 200m as well.

yeah but this is not real life!

I know, I am talking about games. Have you ever played Rising Storm 2 or Red Orchestra 2?
