I noticed for br2 germany i can put together a pretty good italian army (using premmy, event, bp items) with the exception of a tank, because there aren’t any.
What are some of the standout suggestions over the years for this?
I would really like to see the p40 but I’m not sure it really belongs in br2. I noticed the turan 1, turan 2, and turan 3 tanks but they are “hungarian”. Again not sure if they really count as “Italian”. The turan 2 would be a perfect br2 tank otherwise and turan 3 for br3.
Then there’s the Celere Sahariano which seems like it might be okay for br2. I’m not really seeing anything else on warthunder. Is there anything that hasn’t been added yet or perhaps a way to buff the current br1 semovente to br2 without it being too much?
To all the italian enthusiasts, what are your thoughts?

I mean the M14 is ok. I prefer to use it over the Semovente and it treats me fairly well. If you manage to flank the sides of enemy tanks it does fine and it’s decent at anti personnel.
I believe the p40 would make a fantastic BR III tank. Lightish armour but a strong gun that would more than compete. And especially since the Cromwell was added, Italy deserves a BR III tank too.
I believe this would be a great fit for BR II. however would it be a premium or TT? Considering it’s a premium tank in WT, wouldn’t it also be a premium in enlisted? Other than that, I see no reason why it shouldn’t be added, as it’s pretty much an analogue to the T50 and Crusader.
I don’t think cromwell should of gone to br3. It’s a little step up from crusader.
I don’t think just because something is premmy in warthunder it should be premmy here. I don’t particularly care if it’s event, but don’t think they should paywall the only real br2 italian tank available

That’s some of the best options. But even P40 can be BR II since will be super bad at BR III and P40 was used by Germany and Italy so will be very interesting BR II option.
P40 is more of a BR II tank then BR III. It has more armor but is it that amazing Its hard to tell to me will be just Axis Chaffee.

Well its better yes but still can be penned by majority of BR II tanks so vs BR I will be bad probably. But in BR III P40 sounds like very bad tank.
Axis already has a surplus of tanks, and therefore should not receive any more.

No? Not really. If i said something like that it’s because whatever was redundant/truly not needed. Fleshing out sub factions hold way more importance than some slight varient. There should be Italian and british squads/equipment in all BRs if possible since they are such a big part of the game already. I would also like to see other sub factions get more love as well. Brings way more life to the game than another thompson, or panzer 3/4.
