Weapons and vehicles of the "Operation Neptune" update

I know its difficult for our fast eastern friends - but you really need to learn English eventually, your translator will always be confusing to people.

You just translated Nashorn with Rhinoceros, however only German speakers will understand what you are saying, since Nashorn is the German word for Rhinoceros.

Oh, I see. That’s too bad about my translation tool.
My apologies.

Wrong.

It wasn’t offered “as a reward”. It was available for everyone back then but devs decided to just… remove them. At the time ppl thought it was because it was too similar to soviet TT one.

They also just removed

Mannlichers rifles (just why?)
Breda lmg for Soviets
Thompson for Soviets
The captured ppsh mentioned.

Funny thing, they also just removed pz4G BUT ADDED IT AGAIN AFTERWARDS.

It was never “a reward”. Just removed. For no good reason.

I see them like LEGO tbh. Like how old set were plenty during their release and now no one sell it at all.

That’s in truth the best comparison I’ve seen about it

It was removed because trophy weapons shouldn’t be in tech trees. I know the Devs have done it before and after but they promised the mp717r wouldn’t become another example of it.

Also in the announcement although it was called a reward and was heavily advertised as being an exclusive item.

M93 mannlichers?

Pz4G?
T24 STZ?

The reasons devs invented for the removals were arbitrary at best. The best reason I’ve seen to date is that devs love artificial scarcity.

And this:

But the act of removing something, could never truly be disguised as a “reward”.

The only reason these are not available is because the Devs promised that players who had played Stalingrad should be compensated for their troubles and that reason is good enough. Encouraging the Devs to break their promise and betray long time players is just petty considering NONE of these weapons are particularly game breaking.

By making something scarce it rewards those who were committed and stuck by the WORST campaign in Enlisted’s history.

Your were thoroughly fooled, then.

Removing something readily available for everyone, is not a reward, even if it’s painted as such.

  • I didn’t get anything with the removal of availability to others. I already had bough the stuff. The only reward was the discounts the pack offered.

Seems devs gambit worked to a degree when they removed the access pack…

Well I did gain something, until the kp31 was added I had access to a high capacity smg for Germany, and now the kp31 has been added I have a exclusive weapon with slightly different stats that shows I stuck by the game.

You didn’t get something by the removal of it for others.

  • you already had them.

It’s why devs succeed in fooling you when they claimed it was “a reward”.

Look. I bought between 30 to 40 captured ppsh. 40 m93 mannlichers. 6 Breda for Soviets. 20 Thompsons for Soviets.

I already had all those. That the devs removed access to those for other players, DID NOT give ME anything.

They just removed something. That’s it. They removed the massive discount we had access to. And the possibility to buy more of those.

I’ll make a note to follow up on this along with cross-referencing from some of my other materials.

I want to pre order the SPAA package but I’m worried that if you release a TT line that the premium squad will be outclassed.

I’ve never bought a package like this in game so I don’t want to feel like I’m paying money to get ripped on later down the line.

Is there going to be any form of a Tech Tree SPAA vehicles added into the game? I don’t want to miss out but I also am not sure what they will be down the road etc. it’s hard to want to plan around buying something without fear of missing out and also being unaware of future developments in game.

I mean if it like before then there should be an event version but idk if it would be all faction or not. As for TT this one is hard to guess tbh. (paratrooper didnt get TT version so yeah)

STZ having Jagdpanzer IV L48 like frontal armor is without a doubt an upgrade over TT T34, luckily KV1 is OP, so it doesn’t matter.

No, you can feel superior because others dont have it, like some rich asshole. Or feel good because playing this godforsaken game since at least 2023 wasnt a total waste of time.

You sure those numbers are not from a post-WW2 version of this shell? Soviet wartime HEAT (called ‘armor-burning’) shells usually only achieved penetration of the length about the same as their caliber.

https://pamyat-naroda.ru/documents/view/?id=451216306&backurl
Page 5 of this document from 1944 instructs that BP-460A ‘armor-burning’ shell must be used against targets of armor thickness of under 100mm, when used from similar 122mm M30 field howitzer

122

Why order such a restriction on a shell supposedly capable of penetrating 160mm?

Another report (at 5th point) shows that firing at Tiger II 150mm front armor at 200m failed to penetrate, only leaving scratches.

Eheh true that, I didn’t think of that because I don’t suffer from that complex I suppose :stuck_out_tongue:

In a way, it’s the same thing. You’re the only ones who have access to the percentages of “what people are using.” When you see that it’s being used less than the Na-To, you’ll lower the Nashorn’s BR to BR3, regardless of how good or bad it is. The same thing happened with the Stug and the Marders. It was never about utility, but rather how much people actually use the things you introduce to the game. (This isn’t a complaint, it’s just one way of looking at it.)

I basically don’t tank at all, so I don’t get into these discussions about shell types and reload times etc, but it seems to me that there are tanks that are just better on paper = better in practice, which means there’s only 1 good tank per BR.

I do fly some, and i feel it’s not as cut and dry with planes. Loadout is obviously important, but things like climb speed, turn speed, and the intagible just…“feel” of the plane means someone might play better with a “less good” plane if it works for them. I’m too green with tanks to know, but does that type of thing even translate to tanks, or is there just a best one?
