Weapon & Soldier Requisition Reform

I would suggest reforming or editing the weapon and soldier requisition form to be more specific. In particular, to allow for the player to specifically choose what weapons or types of soldiers they can requisition.

For weapons I have noticed a alarming amount of weapons being pulled that you begin piling up towards mid-game unlock tree, for example the starting Mosin-Carbine, or weaponry which past having 4-8 of them is useless, for example, the Flamethrower, The Motar, the PTRS, etc. Its frustrating to have to burn through 20-50 cards to get enough of the weapon you actually want to get, whether for purposes of disassembly or for actually equipping, and then being stuck with duplicates of weapons you have way too much of. In this regard I would recommend the following:

  1. Once you click the weapons requisition card you are asked to fill out a checklist
  2. In this check list you can pick one of the following categories
  • Random Parts (If you get these items you get 4-8 parts for the weapon you get)
  • Rifles (You can pull Engineer Rifle, Basic Rifle, or in Soviet case, dragoon rifle)
  • Sniper Variant Rifles (Basic Sniper variant bolt action, and once unlocked the Semi Auto Sniper Variants)
  • Automatic Weaponry (MG, SMG)
  • Special Weaponry (Flamethrower, Mortar, Shotgun, AT Rifle)
  • Sidearm Weaponry (Melee weapons & All Sidearm tiers)
  • Support Equipment (Medkit, Adv. Medkit, Tools, Grenade, Satchel/Explosive Bundles, Smoke Grenades, Molotov)
  1. It is randomized what you get within the category, for example you might get a Tier 3 Pistol or a Tier 1 Pistol, but it not so randomized that you have no way to get what you are lacking
  2. For Item requisitions you may get 1-3 weapons of that class for Parts requisition you may get 2-5 part bundles.

As for soldiers,
Essentially apply the same system above of a class checklist but apply it to the soldier class, you can select 1 specific class, and you may get 1-3 soldiers of said class. By unlocking via tech tree the tiers of soldiers, you may have a chance to get a higher starred tier soldier of a specific class, but most likely you will pull 1 star soldiers.

I will say from personal experience, that having to grind for a requisition card (which is 1 layer of randomization already since you don’t get to choose if you get a weapons requisition card or a soldier requisition card) then also have to hope that you get the right class of weapon (2nd layer of randomization to get the weapon for the class you need said weapon for) and then hope you get the right variant of weapon (3rd layer of randomization in order to get say Drum variant SMG rather than a box SMG on top of all previous layers of randomization) is extremely frustrating and disincentivizing than fun or engaging.
