- Semi-Auto Rifle Balance
There is no point for the semi-auto rifle right now, the M1 Carbine vs the Garand
M1 Carbine 2-3 shot kill: 15 bullets = total of 7 kills~ for a clip
Garand 1 shot kill: 8 bullets = 8 kills
The only time I really find the M1 useful is when I turn the corner and hip spray, but that’s the same with the Garand, I’m just exposed for way less time.
Garand: Low recoil
M1 Carbine: High recoil
The numbers seem to be completely off for their recoil or possibly switched as my 3+ star M1 has more recoil than my 3+ star Garand

Goes up to the neck
Jumps to the head, but is supposed to have less recoil ???
Right now with every soldier but assault, you’re INSTANTLY replacing the 2nd tier semi auto rifles as they have the same kill potential
The big issue is a hit power of 10 is all that’s needed to down someone.
So Garand
12 @ 10m
9.8 @ 100m = 11.27
8.0 @ 200m = 9.2
If it’s a curve fall off that means the 4 star Garand can 1 shot at 160m~
Lets compare that to a bolt action now
14 @ 10m
11.5 @ 100m
9.4 @ 200m = 10.81
7.7 @ 300m = 8.85
It will generally get a kill at 240m.
So a 4 star Garand has the general kill power of a 1-3 star bolt action. This makes running the standard bolt actions really pointless on any infantry. Without zoom it will be hard to land your shots at the 300m+ range.
M1 Carbine 4 star, the only time the 15% becomes useful is at the 180-220m range because a 2 shot range.
200m @ 5.29
So at 200-250M range the carbine would pull ahead if it’s recoil wasn’t so much higher, and a single bolt action would take them out in 1 bullet.
IMO the 2nd tier semi-auto should most likely be an instant kill at really close ranges, right now at the general range you will use it is a 1 shot kill, Just being the swiss army knife of guns (1 shot up close vs SMG’s, 1 shot at medium range vs smg/bolt action, 2 shot at ranges bolt action is 2 shot, Bolt actions really only have that 160-240m~ range of being better than semi-auto rifle.
I feel the semi-auto should be a sharp drop off so
SMG king of anything past 10-100m range
Semi Auto, king of sub 10m and past 100-200m
Bolt is the king of 200m+ range
Right now it’s
SMG Alright at CCQ, but not as good as the Garand/SVT/Geweher
M1 Carbine, worst in every way but at this weird 200-260m range where it is 2 shot like garand. But suffers from higher recoil.
Bolt Action, Compared to the Garand: At the 10-160 range the garand, at 160-240m range it’s better, at 240M+ it goes back to the Garand since it’s semi-auto and they’re both 2m range.
- The great grenade Issue
Run TNT? You good
Run Smoke? You good
Run Motolv? Eh okay maybe you want to kill the engine for an easy instant tnt kill? Maybe run 1 in a squad
Run Frag? Worthless, run TNT. You are kneecapping your squad.
Going for a close throw?
TNT has the same cook time as frag, with a way bigger blast radius
Throwing over cover or into the Objective?
Do you want 5 kills, okay go frag grenade
Do you want 32 kills, okay go TnT
Oh no a tank is charging and way out of position
Frag grenade? Do literally nothing
TNT 1-2 shot it. Force it to move and have to readjust it’s aim.
Molotov is way to situation with 0 spread unless there is floral or wood, and even than it’s pretty much the frag grenade 1 shot radius. It’s really situational for it’s infantry use.
How I think they viewed it
Frag = Anti infantry
Molotov = Hybrid (Kills the engine forcing them to retreat, or if they stay they will need to repair or a single TNT will take em out right after.)
TNT = Anti armor
Right now its
Frag = Long throw, bounces too much, small kill radius
Molotov = alright for situational things, good for getting a tank to leave the area
TNT = The everything grenade, clears rooms and 1-2 shots tanks.
What are you going to choose, kneecapping yourself with a frag or TNT?
TNT does a good job of getting tanks to back off, but it needs it’s kill radius controlled (needs to have a lesser frag kill radius, BUT make it do high damage to units in the area 60-80% of their hp in the area.
