Anti-tank guns’s efficacity is greatly reduced by its fixity. If you want to turn it because tanks are coming from out of its horizontal deflection, you have to destroy it and rebuild another, which is not efficient at all, particularly when two tanks and half of the ennemy team is trying to destroy you.
So we should be able to turn it on itself, but not from position. This should be able to do for every soldier class, not only engineer:
