If hit not in the chest or head it does not kill in 1 shot at any range. If the enemy has a 35% health perk, it also does not kill with a single shot to the chest at point-blank range.
I suggest that you join the thought of reducing the M2’s ammo, which has been tangibly improved recoil, because now it’s 90 rounds.
technically it should get more ammo like maybe 20/40 or 20/60 just like M2 (30/60) but considering the damage per bullet, it dont need more ammo
but then again by considering total damage it should get more ammo
M2 90 bullet * 8 (?) per shot = 720 damage in total
while FG42 40 bullet * 12.7 damage per shot = 508 in total and if it 20/40 it’ll be 762 damage in total

this is FG42 so it’s only have to be comparable with it’s side grade, the M2 carbine

this is about German FG42. if you want to compare it, it has to be M2 from US, the rifle that is from same campaign and same level not anything else especially russian rifle from different campaign
while german counterpart is ZH-29, 30 bullet, 12 damage per bullet. 30*12 = 360. it’s balanced
I don’t mind AVS having 3 magazines, that makes sense, or 4 if fg has 3 magazines.

PS the berlin has a PPSh for 35 rounds that has 170 rounds, which also breaks the logic of ammo, for the beretta m38 has 120, not 160. Look at the unlocks for once yourself.
