Is Enlisted ultimately going to be abandoned?
All players are wondering whether War Thunder is destined to absorb Enlisted.
Even now, in the community, newcomers who ask about Enlisted tend to hesitate to start the game once they hear about the release of War Thunder’s infantry mode.
For this reason, I would like to politely request an official statement from the Enlisted team.
- Will War Thunder be taking a completely separate path from Enlisted?
In other words, will it refrain from encroaching on Enlisted’s domain (World War II)?
Conversely, in order for Enlisted not to encroach on War Thunder’s infantry mode, has the possibility of adding Cold War or modern-era content to Enlisted been completely taken off the table?
- Is Enlisted going to lose the ability to tackle the issues it still needs to solve?
I understand that staff have already been transferred multiple times from Enlisted to War Thunder, and I expect this will make it difficult to continue developing Enlisted.
Does this mean that the remaining tasks—such as fixing the awkward animations, adding party chat in the lobby, expanding battle size (15 vs 15 or 20 vs 20), reworking aircraft bomb loads, adding ammunition belt selection, and so on—will all effectively become impossible to address?
- Is there any chance that the new soldier animations used in Active Matter and War Thunder’s infantry mode will be implemented in Enlisted?

If they did answer, would it even be trustworthy? Gaijin has a history of going back on why they’ve said in the past.

i’m not sure why so much fear mongery.
but,
enlisted isn’t going away any time soon.
granted, update are slow as hell,
and there’s only so much before ww2 comes to an end.
so, is it the end of enlisted?
no.
cause what most of yall forget, is the modding front.
from there, people would be able to make more stuff for the game.
so, instead of " what about ism " how about we focus on what we have instead, and make it better.

Well okay - but then why aren’t we considering a merge of both games?
Wasnt that even one of the goals with the entire project? To have warthunder with infantry?
why would you even consider the idea of merging both games?
i don’t think most people would like to install 200gb for playing one of the main gamemodes.
let alone having to remake most maps to accomodate infantry.
enlisted is often on a older / earlier build.
which it would progressively slow down development on the main game.
you know, people that wants to play vehicles.
they can’t really afford to risk that for infantry.
