So I managed to hit the front of the gmc with the japan premium fighter, one bomb went off behind the gmc, but the other left that mark and didn’t go off? So did the direct hit bomb just shatter or something? Didn’t know that was in the game.

Yeah the amount of times I’ve dinged a tank with a bomb for it to bounce off and not kill it has brought me many tears

as someone who hardly plays the pacific i maybe am no one to complain about this, but from my experience the m16s hitbox is one of the most broken in the game. I think its a problem with most “light” vehicles
Because your shells in most cases doesn’t detonate/explode. So the damaging potential is very low.
You just have to aim for crew or ammorack.
I’ve used the JU-188 to drop a pair of 250kg on Jumbos, and after dropping the bombs I’ve seen the white hit markers for a direct hit on the tank…
But when the bombs explode, they only do minimal damage (sometimes no damage, sometimes only yellow damage, and others I’ll get a critical hit, but not destroyed).
It’s really frustrating, when ya have to fly 2,000+ meteres to re-supply and try again.
Sometimes, there’s such a thing as being too accurate with your aircraft’s bombing runs / rocket attacks.

Meanwhile 50 kg bombs seem to work just fine at exploding jumbos.
