War Thunder's infantry blows Enlisted away

Even as a CBT and using a limited range of modern weaponry, the game is just so much better than Enlisted in almost every respect - squad mechanics. pace of the game, how vehicles are used…

I’ve only had a couple of games - but it’s plain to me that Enlisted as it has existed for the last 5 yrs is gone-burger.

This nothing less than pathetic lie. You are not the only one who has acces to infantry CBT.

Vehicles are just pure gimmicks. Not to mention for aircraft enjoyers, they’re not planning to even add planes to the game mod any time soon.

Ukraine, you troublemaker! Why don’t you compare serving in the military to hell on earth? Instead, you compare the devastation of modern warfare to serving in the military during World War II.

I dont’ compare any military or any serving - I’m comparing games.

Only idiots mistake them for anything else

I guess your mileage varies, but it is neither pathetic nor a lie, and if that is all you can manage then perhaps it is you who fit those descriptors.

Clearly not, since I posted a link from a reasonably prminent Enlisted YT-er who happns to share my opinions.

Can you show us where the vehicle touched you??

So what?

well,

the issue for enlisted, is that it has nowhere near the same amount of support that would get from war thunder.

so in terms of content,
it’s rather logical to see way more content in that game, than in enlisted.

unfortunately, it is only a matter of years before ww2 and enlisted reaches to it’s end.

with that being said, at the rate of updates we keep getting, i’d say this game still has 4 years of content.

… especially at the rate has been in 2024 and 2025.

i just wished they would have implemented custom content sooner.
so we could have provided much more than what has been offered so far.

but then again, not very monetizable so…

one thing will defo be worse, will be the grind.
nowhere forgiving as enlisted has been imo

Good for you if you like it. I didn’t bother to apply for testing but from all the videos I have seen, it is just enlisted + am. Too much deja vu. I would say helli looks fun, p47 on super steroids. But gameplay, animations, and conquest mode only are just not good.
I struggle to understand why ppl will choose warthunder over battlefield 6, even though bf6 is not at a good state atm, let alone paying for premiums and grinding for events.

Let’s think about why people choose a F2P game over a game that costs… 110 dollars?

Eh, bf6 is $70 base and you can get it with a discount or ea play, and compare that to one of the most predatory f2p games out there that is gaijin’s warthunder. I don’t know man. At least enlisted grind is not that bad with just a premium account.

bruh.

I’ve been playing since 2014 and haven’t bought premium once, neither in WT nor in Enlisted. And I’m definitely not giving a dime to rainbow outfit (especially since you can only top up EA via PayPal, which doesn’t support МИР cards, so you have to use workarounds like Telegram bots or crypto… I’d honestly rather donate to War Thunder, even though I haven’t played it in a couple of years)

War Thunder infantry looks so good that I don’t even want to play Enlisted anymore.

It does look good, actually. But if you’re interested in more than just infantry shootouts, take it from my experience with the Snail — it won’t be as good as you’d hope, and it’s certainly nowhere near Arma Reforger. So, we’ll wait and see, but without any high expectations.

Someone is clearly putting in some major effort on that game and we are not even close to seeing that same effort here at Enlisted.

Ever been stuck in the shadow of the favorite? Feels a bit like that right now.

Unfortunately, due to the efforts of Darkflow (and maybe Gaijin too), Enlisted might not be dying, but it’s definitely stagnating. However, at the moment, War Thunder’s infantry isn’t much of a step up from Active Matter’s mechanics and assets. Unless they improve how infantry and vehicles interact, I think WT’s infantry will suffer the same fate as Enlisted… or even Naval.

It is being intentionally neglected. It is given just enough to stay alive.

I’d argue it is a step up though especially in terms of mechanics. They have implemented FPV drones in a way that is original and seems pretty realistic. And the attack helicopter gameplay is better and more realistic than anything Battlefield has ever been able to produce. It’s cool man!

Yeah WTI is limited right now but it’s only going to improve. And its improvement pace will double that of Enlisted. And that just kinda sucks man.

Merry Christmas btw.

Disagree here too. WTI has the potential to attract the BF crowd much better than Enlisted has.

As BF6 is honestly is pretty lame, those wanting something else will probably be willing to try WTI.
Thats honestly why I started Enlisted… I was fed up with BF.

But yeah WTI won’t suffer the same fate as Enlisted simply because it won’t be neglected. And yeah Naval is just lame. Not even Dollarplays can make Naval look fun.

Like I said before, all of this is in AM. Almost all FPV animations and many buildings are taken from there with barely any changes. I literally recognize them. They’re basically cobbling together infantry from parts of their other current games. The only things they’ve added are tanks and helis… which are already in WT anyway, and are planned for AM in the near future as well.

We celebrate it on January 7th. Still, Merry Christmas
