Voting on posts

I have noticed on here the posts with comments usually don’t have nearly the amount of people voting, that actually visited and read the post…according to the posted numbers on the post. This has got me thinking, if people want change/improvements/modifications in Enlisted, why aren’t people voting? Agree or disagree, my thought if changes are to occur in-game, it’s because of the traction an idea has gotten. It is my belief the if enough people are in agreement, community managers notice and helpers pass along the ideas to the devs. It would be great if people voted after reading a post…for or against as the masses are what chages things.
Please give your vote to which best represents what you do…and we can see the number of votes based on the amount of views of the post.

  • Yes, I vote when I read a post and provide comments why I am for or against.
  • Yes, I vote to help influence the direction of the game, but don’t comment.
  • No, I don’t believe my vote changes anything in game.
  • No, I can’ be bothered.

I try to voice my thoughts whenever possible wether they may be negative neutral or positive… i don’t see why others don’t do the same… sure it can end up in basically flaming matches but cultivating engaging conversations is some of what forums are about.

Although there are things like this where it really has interest to me at all so instead of disagreeing i just stand by.

I agree…and let’ you get a bigger picture of what the community is thinking. I don’t understand that a post can have 300 views, but only 4 votes. Changes happen with the masses.

Sometimes I vote and comment, sometimes I vote and don’t comment, sometimes I comment and don’t vote, sometimes I don’t vote or comment.

Hope that helps

Sometimes I read what a vote is about, and the only time I don’t vote is if I really don’t care either way, or it is about something I am not versed in and am too lazy to research, so I abstain from voting. :joy:

Well, I think many people understand that while votes are representative, the final say is up to devs.
Had SIG KE7 for Axis had a vote, it would have been obvious no from the community but it was added to the game anyway.
Besides, you don’t necessarily need 100 votes since 20 votes will give roughly the same result.

A lo of toxicity as well is associated with voicing any opinion. I very rarely experience meaningful debate with novel ideas associated with fixing / suggesting ideas about the game unless they are very minor changes

Quite a bold statement from someone who’s on forum for like 2 weeks.

Anyway, to answer the OP’s post. Polls are extremely overrated. They mainly serve to let helpers know whether it makes sense to pass a suggestion on to the developers.
When people vote for something, it doesn’t necessarily mean it has to be added to the game. Quite the opposite, in fact.
I already saw plenty of dumb suggestions with quiet positive ratios. And I am glad that developers didn’t implement them.

I think it would be better if outcomes of polls would be visible only to helpers and other staff. As they only creates unnecessary drama and expectation across community.
People should argue with arguments. Not pushing agendas trough outcomes of polls.

I had an old account and played on pc and was active a few years ago my guy. Case in point what you are saying - quite toxic / dismissive to the overall point. Might I paraphrase yourself back to you “argue with an argument”

You and another individual both share similair attitudes… there is almost nothing you are in support of and i think you dislike them because it invalidates your 24/7 negative opinion.
