Visual improvements needed: Adaptive camos, realistic wrecks, and missing greatcoats for infantry

I would like to bring up three visual issues regarding customization and realism that significantly hurt the immersion in Enlisted.

1. Adaptive Vehicle Camouflages (Map Biome Link)
Currently, infantry squads automatically change their uniforms based on the map’s biome (Summer, Winter, Desert). However, tanks do not. This leads to ridiculous situations where a bright desert-yellow Panzer IV or a BMW R75 motorcycle spawns in the middle of a snowy Moscow map or a ruined Berlin.

Not only does this ruin the historical immersion, but it also creates a major gameplay balance issue. A winter or desert tank in a green forest acts like a glowing neon sign, making it an incredibly easy target for enemy planes and infantry.

  • Proposed Solution: Enlisted should adopt a system similar to War Thunder or Hell Let Loose. Every vehicle should have basic, free adaptive camos (Grey/Green for summer, White streaks for winter, Sand for desert) that change automatically depending on the map.
  • Monetization option: Players would still buy premium, historical camos (like ambush patterns, unique division decals, or muddy textures) because they look much better than the basic ones.

2. Poor Textures and Damage Models of Destroyed Tanks
Right now, when a tank explodes, the wreck quality is very underwhelming. The tank doesn’t actually turn burned or black in a realistic way—it often just gets a lazy dark overlay. Smaller details like glass headlights, tools, and spare tracks attached to the hull remain completely untouched and look brand new on a “destroyed” vehicle.

  • Proposed Solution: Even with optimization in mind, the game needs better “burned tank” textures. When ammo explodes, the hull should look heavily scorched and black, and fragile components like headlights should be hidden or replaced with broken models upon destruction.

3. Missing Greatcoats (Overcoats) in Infantry Customization
Greatcoats were used on a massive scale by almost every army during World War II, especially during autumn and winter campaigns. Right now in Enlisted, they are extremely rare—as far as I know, only specific squads like the motorcycle squad have them.

  • Proposed Solution: Add greatcoats as a standard, purchasable/selectable option in the customization menu (under jackets/uniforms) for winter and autumn biomes. Since Darkflow already has the 3D models of greatcoats in the game files (used by the motorcyclists), it shouldn’t be hard to adapt them for standard infantry squads. It would drastically improve the historical look of our soldiers.

Both changes would massively improve the atmosphere of the battles and fix the balance issues. What do you guys think?

Every nation has greatcoats tho (besides japan obviously)
Is this just unchecked ai text?

It looks like this thread is about to be closed. Could you add one more suggestion when you post a similar thread next time? Please add an option for turrets to get blown off when tanks are destroyed. Historically, many tanks had their turrets blown aside or dislodged after ammo rack detonations. In War Thunder, the turret just disappears and only the hull remains on the ground.

Wrecked tanks on the battlefield often block the view. What’s more, the smoke produced by destroyed anti-aircraft guns and other vehicles is far thicker than regular artillery smoke.
