I think a lot of players can agree that the recoil on the Vickers No.1 Mk.2 needs to be reduced to make it a viable and useable weapon in Normandy. The unmounted standing recoil is understandable, but the fact that when you go prone and mount your gun, the recoil is still so much that you can barely aim your shots (and most of them go wild anyway) means that the Vickers is almost unusable in any form of combat that isn’t sitting in a hallway and lasering bots.
The recoil changes don’t have to be a complete 180, all it needs is a recoil change that brings it in line with machineguns like the Bren or the Madsen.

The Vickers needs to at the very least useable in prone with the bipod on, currently its not. The recoil even with vert reduction is so horrendous that I’d put it in the above the unusable AKT-40 in Moscow in terms of how unforgiving it is to use the weapon.
Please bring it more in line with contemporary machine guns

Better it’s difficult to use effectively than overpowered.
Ive only taken it for a few spins but it wrecks.
I tap fire all autos by habit, and the vickers responds well. Clear sights. Pretty awesome

As someone who really likes the Vickers, I think the high recoil may be necessary to balance it with its high rof and mag capacity.
If they do reduce it, it should be no less than the MG42’s recoil.
IN MY EXPERIENCE:
The Vickers isn’t meant to be fired full auto in the way that other MGs are. It’s hard hitting and seems to have actually pretty reasonable dispersion with the cost being tremendous recoil. If it’s braced or used from prone position, and fired one round at a time (Basically a glorified semi-auto with a large capacity) it works pretty well for lower tier equipment.
That said, do keep in mind that it is considered an early-war weapon. Most of these are pretty low in efficiency in comparison to late-war equipment. Especially in Normandy this is the case. It’s the first MG you unlock, its not meant to be super strong.

Capacity has nothing to do with it
If we’re going to simply make something shit to use simply for the sake of it we may as well not do a half measure and jump on anything with a high RPM

I’m doing really well with the vicks (granted I use 5* with vert reduction…) using burst taps, and when (successfully) mounting it.
But since I really like it, I certainly won’t complain if it gets buffed

There’s a reason why high level MG’s with bigger magazines are practically at the end of the campaign so there’s no reason this weapon should actually be a viable weapon It’s an event weapon it’s not supposed to be op Unless Dark flow changes his mind and decides to give the Germans that 100 round MG
Pfff MP38 is the most accurate automatic weapon of the Germans and PPD34 is best Soviet drum.
You can also use an M1919 and its better than that.
Bipods still sucks but whatever.
Its not an unlock, its an event. Unlock would mean people can get it after the event.

0,1 whatever lower dmg against PPD. Yeah, hide the pain compared to 0.28 dispersion or so.
Keep forgetting they are part of the grind and everyone has gold orders or gold to spend on.
The last time Ive heard that was when Soviet mains defended their botfarming in Moscow and SG and it became a meme. And I guess it was to take serious.
