Please nerf the VG 1-5!!!

The VG1-5 with its fully semi-auto capability and less than half the magazine capazity compared to a PPD40 or PPSh41 is totally overpowered.

While a poor sovjet has to hold down the trigger and barely pass you with his sights to kill you,
you can just instantly stop running, pull up your VG1-5, aim precisely, shoot, reset, shoot and reset until the enemy returns fire and kills you.

Especially the VG’s secret special power, the “smoke generator bullets” that the VG and the Thompson have, make it incredibly OP.

While firing you get a camouflage bonus, because for some reason, weird german scientists - and totally not the devs - , thought it a cool idea, to add giant smoke trails to your bullets. These smoke trails will break up your silouette and make it impossible for the enemy to spot you.

I mean how is any sovjet supposed to have a chance against that?

I can no longer stand by idle, watching all those sovjets die as the VG boys laugh in their faces for using their silly select-fire, high capazity, high rate of fire, low recoil death lasers.

Some people seem to take this post as actually true… I hoped it was clear enough that I was being sarcastic, as a 420 rpm, 30 round semi-auto can not compare to a 840 rpm,71 round-drum magazine, select-fire gun… I thought that was clear…

I am not asking for the sovjet guns to be nerfed, I am just really happy the germans got something absolutely powerful like the VG 1-5 and not an STG 44 or some poor man’s crap like that.

Only the best is good enough, and the best is only the VG 1-5

I just think its unfair that the poor sovjets only get select fire, 71-round drums and almost 1’000 rpm with essentially 2 hit kill capability.

and the germans get this absolutely OP semi-auto only, 30 round god-gun, that will 2 hit kill as well… clearly making it the far superior weapon, because you need to aim better, you fire slower and your reload is about the same

because its the strongest weapon in berlin if you take into account, that there are so many close quarter fights and you can easily avoid long range
and no weapon can take it with any version of the pps or ppd

I am 75 hours into the veteran achievement and am lvl 23 with the sovjets and 21 with the germans.
I finished the normandy campaign for both, the allies and the germans.

I played enough to wonder, how the devs think the VG1-5 is in any way a match for the PPD 40.

Any thoughts?

I am shocked the poster forgot to mention the incredibly over powered panzer 4J. With its deadly 7.5 Kwk Cannon and excellent crew survivability.

Pz 4 J can kill 1 hit t 34,i do it everytime

well, its quit good, but again, the ppsh or ppd-40 can easily outgung this weapon in close quarter or mid range
as soviet you only be smart enough to avoid open fields and for the most maps this is possible and you can take every close quarter route to the capture point
