Like everyone I have a thousand German squads from previous 5 campaigns, so I’m not even sure if I need to buy these now?
They came in green when the merge happened.
some of them are a must for reach certain weapons you wish, you are warned

Yes, Im leveling up all of the new progression squads to get 40% upgrade discount on guns.
There are a few exceptions though, if I have everything maxed except squad upgrades themselves, then I won’t bother.
