Engineer: Bayonet for faster positioning or Shotgun for the meme?
I always go bayonet for speed useful for when you ran out of ammo and there is a jap in front of you

Personally I prefer the Shotgun because…well the meme. I like to assert my dominance over the other players by killing them with one of the most underperforming weapons in the game
I use it on my assaulter tbh since those guy are always up close and I prefer browning auto 5 unless they add the trench version of the shotgun in game

I just got dual primaries for my Assaulters. SMG’s and Shotguns for everyone
Just to let you know:
Apparently, in the game files there’s already a version of the Winchester shotgun with bayonet slot (currently unavailable, but accessible in the editor).

You can use axe instead of bayonet for movement boost.
But shotguns are still extremely situational and pretty frustrating to use. I will always prefer reliable rifle over them.

Eh, I recently experienced that even just some lag can make them useless, too… Missed 3 apparently perfect close range shots in a row on a guy that was running around (who subsequently proceeded to kill me).

Shotgun is rather effective for me, always gives me joy when I double kill with 1 shot, or hear the headshot ping in long range
Oh the long range headshots are satisfying to no end. Ever headshot with an M9 though? THAT’S some good stuff
