They should change across all maps like clothes. Also, if Gaijin wants to continue selling them for gold, that’s fine, but they should give some to players by default and for free. Tanks shouldn’t have desert camo on snowy maps.
For example, british and US tanks(and apc like Universal Carrier) should have these camos by default (one for Tunisia, one for Belgium and one for Normandy):

In my opinion a default camo should be just the color of the material the tank was originally made of (so no camo at all)

I think we should be given the camos that are most commonly used in reality by default, it would make the game look more historical! (Also default numbers and markings on tanks)

I mean in an ideal world, refunded gold is the way to go there. I know WT has done that in the past so its not impossible.

you mean no paint at all?
tanks are always painted, even if they didnt get camouflage, they did get a coat of red primer to prevent rusting.
I think there are a few exceptions like T-34s in Stalingrad where tanks rolled out from the factory right into the combat, but this is a rare exception.

Uhh you are right, didnt thought of that. I was thinking only od something that could be as default as possible and suit all campaigns

They should add “Vehicle Appearance Orders” which will allow you to change the Camo and allow you to add Decals/Decorations (This would be a far better reward to get than Callsign Orders)

And as a side note on the topic of Customization, the way Uniform Customization works should be changed :

You should get the base aspect of a Uniform for free (German M40, M42, M43 Tunic etc.)

You then use Appearance Cards/Gold to change the color/camo of the uniform (Such as changing it from a grey-green feldgrau to a luftwaffe field division blue or peadot camo).

You should be able to further customize the uniform by using Appearance Cards/Gold to pay for Insignia and Rank patches (They could add them back to the game finally).

And they can also allow you to use Appearance Cards/Gold to change the equipment the soldier carries (Such as being able to select if you want them to have MP40 mag holder, STG mag holder, Kar98K clip holder, etc)

I’d like them to be default too, but knowing how much Gold some people would be willing to purchase for such things I doubt they would let it be a totally free thing. (The best we can hope for is to at least be able to get them with Cards)

They should give us all the things that are necessary for historical by default, like camos appropriate to the regions(for tanks), common numbers and insignia on tanks, and ranks and patches on soldiers’ uniforms. Some things like camouflages that include leaves, or weapons, dolls, etc. on tanks and many camos can be left with gold.
