Now I enjoy Enlisted very much, and start to learn how to play it, but there are some aspects I still do not understand very well and I sorely miss a usefull documentation about the game.
One big question mark for me is for example the matchmaking: How does it work here? What is taken into account? Is it campaign level?
Just yesterday for example I was for the first time grilled by a Russian flamethrower. But I’m at campaign leven IV, and flamethrowers should come in much later, no?
And what does one do exactly with backpacks?
And how to best aim and use grenades, explosives and molotov’s?
And is there a rank system for the squads/soldiers and how does it work?
Backpack allow you to take more equipment. Standard soldier can take one grenade and one medpack. Backpack allows you to take more medkits (small backpack = 2 medkits, big backpack = 4 medkits). Grenade pouch allows you to take more grenades (small = 2 grenades, big = 4?). Ammo pouch gives you more ammo to the main weapon.
That you must learn by using them Don’t forget to cook them for a moment before throwing to get better results - enemies will not chave a chance to throw them back or escape.
As to the ranks, well, all soldiers seem to habve a same rank, but it would be realistic oif one squad member would have a higher rank (e.g. corporal), and thus maybe have also more commanding options?
Rank System if you mean for example Troops I , Troops II or Sniper I , II, III they just have different perks and unlock different gun, but the gun they use can be used each other
on exception Tanker I and Tanker II
And what does one do exactly with backpacks?
Backpacks already answered above but i going to give some tips, leave the grenade pouch as they kinda useless compared to backpacks, you allowed to bring Grenades to backpack but you cant bring medkits or tools in grenade pouch
No, ranks in the sense of military ranks: A squad of enlisted soldiers is led by a NCO (for example a corporal), etc. and those “squad leaders” may have additional functions and stats, which affect for example how they interact with the squad.
Maybe they have more formation options, or can order more precicely what the soldiers under their command have to do.
Maybe this could even go into morale (I think that’s also not a thing here (yet), right? Kill a dquad leader and the squad may be less efficient in their actions…
