Event weapons are usually great. But often useless. Why? Because they are permanently assigned to event teams. For example, just look at the screenshots attached to this issue. The basic team, despite having worse weapons, is much better than the event team. The recently added weapon swapping mechanic, along with the Soviet paratroopers, is great. I think this is one of the developers’ best moves. If the developers added this mechanic to all event teams, it would be wonderful. Please consider this proposal.

Lol they are completely different mechanic. The “weapon swapping mechanic” dev added is not something new, you can already swap non unique weapon on event or premium squad before this. The weapon swapping mechanic that you want is to swap event weapon which is currently not possible.
Not really, there’s plenty event from which we have obtained event weapons not assigned to any unique squad.
So it’s just another classic DF’s inconsistency.
Btw. The perk points of horn Stg squad extremely sucks. If i remember correctly, it’s 15/15/27 or something like that.
You really don’t need heavy recoil reductions for that weapon, but you are robbed of two best perks in game - sprint speed and vitality.
So not even that this weapon is slightly worse MKb, the soldiers themselves extremely sucks.

Lol we are not even talking about the same thing. OP and I are talking about event squad and you are talking about individual event weapon.
Yeah, I know. But I don’t understand why are they still releasing these event squads at all.
Especially if they’re encouraging the sale of old legacy squads. (Because currently having high number of squads is time consuming because of poor UI)
They’re trying to reduce the number of squads players do own, yet they’re continue with releasing completely underperforming event squads.
They might as well have just given us a 4x Horn stg and free clothing customization.
There’s simply no logic nor consistency from DF’s side.

Different stuff. The goal is not to reduce the number of squad the player own, but to reduce redundant stuff that old system left. By your logic they should stop selling premium squad since many of them are underperforming.
No, the only bad ones are American event squads. They intentionally make the weapons garbage, as seen in the M1A1 below:
They have yet to fix it and intentionally make them bad due to their hatred of America.

I wrote because of the Horn Sturmgewehr. The point is that he has a much better team, so a new team makes no sense. Instead of abandoning this team, I would rather take their weapons and equip the troops I use
