What exactly is the point of giving 110 or the B5N2 two 250kg bombs when you literally drop them in exactly same spot? I’ve literally watched them stay glued together the entire way. You are lugging 250kg of dead weight and for some reason those bombs seem to be performing way worse than then single 500 pound ones the P47 gets.
Make them separate drops. Or at least give them some dispersion
useless like the 60 pound bombs ?

I genuinely prefer to use the D3A1. You can do two passes, use the 60kgs to ruin infantry’s day and the 250kg to nuke a tank, or spread the drops and cover way more ground. And you have pilot guns. Hell, the 60kg ones are good enough to at least decrew M13s and damage the ligh us tanks. A decent hit will actually kill US heaviest tanks available in Pacific
im playing allies in pacific now.
STOP NUKING ME!!!

planes suck for allies in that campaign
Not really, people just take off from the carrier and fly at 50m altitude straight towards the point and then they try to turn fight a Zero while not having any energy…
there is something called
new aircraft weapons in the roadmap
i dont know what they would be

maybe something more useful that low weight bombs
Yeah, I’ve been wondering this for a long time. Why not allow us to drop the bombs seperately? I can understand, that wing-mounted bombs have to be dropped in pairs, to stay balanced. But when they are mounted to the fuselage? Why?
Let’s not give the devs the idea to add dispersion to bombs, though. Who knows, where that might lead.
If you drop them from higher altitude you will get wider spread.
Slowing WAY down and rolling to one side or another also appears to help.
The worst is when a 1000lb bomb ricochets off of 8MM OF ARMOR
Yeah I was specifically talking about bombers with centrally mounted bombs. The Bf110 definitely should be capable of single drops.
According to this gentleman
BF110 should be possible to drop even small wing mounted bombs separately and this is kind of amazing.
