- doesnt see how being an (x) or (y) faction main while crying about nerfing the opposition would be relevant.
hmmmmmm definitely an argument being had in good faith.

I’d be okay with M2 going to assaulters, or being removed completely. It’s only in the campaign at all in a half-assed attempt to give us something to match the FG, which the M2 doesn’t, and it wasn’t present for normandy and even field converted M2 carbines weren’t present on the battlefield until the western allies’ push into germany proper.
I’m not out here asking for allies to be OP. I’m asking for balance, and right now, in normandy, there isn’t.
If you weren’t a known troll, I might engage with that. In the mean time, do some more reading, you might find that I’m not nearly as biased as you suggest.
way way to much but its been like this since cbt
Yeah, it has, but just because something’s been that way since CBT doesn’t mean it can’t be adjusted.
well its been a year and they havent touched it took 6 months for them to add 2 counters panther and stg while not adding a counter to fg42 they usually only listen to Germans or one at a time u cant please germans and every one people will complain even if they added the tiger
Hell yes, people would complain if the added the Tiger, it would be OP.
The Panther isn’t a counter to the Jumbo, it’s an overcorrection. Jumbo shouldn’t have been added, Panther would then not be needed and doesn’t need to be present. Give allies M4A3E8 and give Axis another Pz4, the panther is and will continue to be OP.
What does the STG counter?
And yeah, the Devs don’t seem to care much about player feedback, haven’t heard a peep out of them after they told they’d heard our complaints about the new soldier leveling system and silver troop orders, but that’s not gonna stop me from talking about what I perceive as a problem and suggesting solutions.
I really like using FG’s on both campaigns, but I have to admit it’s really stupid how this gun is represented in the game. It’s just stupid from historical reasons and also because of balancing issues.
Honestly i don’t think devs will ever remove it or make it class resirected, especially after seeing what are they doing in the Berlin campaign. They just simply added the FG 42-II as an infantry rifle which is a normal FG whitout any recoil even on full auto.
I think it’s more likely that the US will recive something like the Johnson LMG, but i don’t see too much hope that they will change the FG.
I don’t want the Johnson rifle I want the M1919a1 I remember the marines model
The A1 would have been a mounted-only weapon, no bipod, no buttsock, spade handles and butterfly trigger.
Give us the A6.
the stg counter the m2
im not against the gun most people think i am but i just want a counter to fg42 whether that’s the Johnson riffle or the bar i dont care which one just give us something that’s able to compete i dont care if u give the allies a captured weapon at this point just do something
i think you are thinking of the m2 stringer since the army infantry model is the A6
No, it doesn’t. The STG stands alone as the hard hitting, barely recoiling laser gun that it is.
why the hell does it stand alone its a counter to the m2
Yeah, no, no it isn’t. The M2 Carbine sits at the same level for the same unlock as the FG. It recoils twice as hard as the STG and doesn’t hit as hard. The STG either needs a recoil increase, or the carbine needs a decrease.
Should it be a counter to the M2? Perhaps. I’d even say, historically, it would make more sense for the STG to be a troops choice and FG to be an assault choice. Does the M2 compare to the STG as things currently are? No. Full stop.
you dont need to limit them to classes m2 vs stg fg42 vs bar or Johnson riffle i dont care which one this is how it should be
you keep telling me that, and I keep telling you you’re wrong. At some point you should probably stop responding, if you’re not going to change your mind, cuz I’ll die on this hill.
lol yes u will cause I’m going to die on mine
after getting the m1 carbine
it has fine recoil - its not too bad
but visually, the recoil is terrible
the entire gun slams back into your chest every shot
the springfield doesnt slam back into you
the BAR doesnt slam into you
the thompson has a bit of push but it stays still
meanwhile, here’s a before and after of the m1 carbine
Before:

After:

How can anyone shoot this thing???
After further analysis i tried my svt-40’s
the gun itself rocks back similar to the carbine, but the sights stay clear and visible
but the m1 carbine - IT BOUNCES BACK MORE THAN THE PTRS!
in my correct opinion: fix this visual recoil issue first
then fix the actual recoil of the m1 carbine
make everyone happy!
