Us flame tank in guadalcanal?

Us army started to use falemthrower tanks after tarawa battle (november 1943) .
Why us have flamethrowing tank in pacific campaign ? If it was saipan or philipines ok but why guadalcanal ?

Unlike the other campaigns the Pacific is covering every battle, period, etc of the Pacific Theatre, early through late

Cus the Pacific campaign is encompassing the whole war in the Pacific, not just Guadalcanal. I’m positive they’ll add locations like Tarawa, Saipan and Iwo Jima. It’s also why the Japanese have a late production type 99

I like how the main core of the game is following specific periods but I’m willing to make acceptions. I don’t mind the campaign system but I’m ok with a little leeway here and there

I will admit that I’m a little bit nit picky about it but again I just make an acception

wait a second, sherman saw thier first combat in september 1942 and never deployed to guadalcanal. so if they add sherman or jumba (whic were used in late stages), this will create great historical inaccuracy issues

southwest pacific ( papua, solomons, new briitain) saw very different type of warfare. less number less powerful weapons, full of jungles and bigger islands.
it cant be as same category as central pacific battles (okinwa iwojima)

We can always make servers for specific conditions like squad and weapons allowed

Theoretically we will have late war Japanese tanks as well as prototypes and experimentals

i am not talking about that.
even if all experimentals are added, america will have upper hand on firepower anyway in 1944-45 tech.
other battles in pacific like saipian, peleliu will be assymetrical.
japanese always have to be on defense for both balance and historical reasons.
but if we add all experis that are useable for earl pacific (42-43) japan will crush us.
i think they should seperate pacific to late and early.

The Japanese have access to type Otsu rifles as a standard rifle when the Otsu only had like 200 examples of it made, the historical accuracy ship has already sailed.

IMO historical accuracy isn’t necessary for this game to succeed but historical authenticity is, so the idea of Shermans on Guadalcanal isn’t heinous to me

Look up Forgotten Weapons videos on some of the Japanese guns he’s gotten his hands on, there’s stuff darkflow can add for the Japanese that’s comparable to stuff like the M2 carbine and stg44

I love that this game really is a great WW2 sandbox with a huge variety of content.

I will say that I do try to play a bit practically, for example bolt actions are the core of my Japanese squads but I will use semi autos sparingly

Asymmetry is kind of the core of this game

You should already know it by looking at numerous late war or experimental equipment in the campaign level.

the game stopped being historical from jumbo

and it stopped being so again from mkb42

and more recently with panzer 4 f2

Historically accuracy is clearly out the window now, they don’t care

you are forgetting about the panzer 3B which was pulled out long before moscow was even dreamt of
